Alan Balteskonis

Alan Balteskonis, 52, of Lombard, died Tuesday, April 7, in Lombard.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 14, at Christ the King  Church in Lombard.
Mr. Balteskonis is survived by his parents, Robert and Doris; brother, Steve; and sister-in-law, Ellen.
Mr. Balteskonis was known by his family, friends and relations as a caring and generous soul.
Donations in his name to the food pantry in Lombard would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by the Illinois Cremation Society.

Mary Faur


Mary Rose Faur, nee Graff, 89, of Lombard, formerly of Villa Park, died Saturday, April 18, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Faur is survived by her children, John of Lombard and Candace (Gary) Wawak; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Magdelene Drumm of Lombard, Margaret Ryan and Geraldine Bieschke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J.; siblings, Sylveria (the late Tom) Gannon, Catherine (the late William) Skach and John (the late Lorraine) Graff; and brothers-in-law, Edward Drumm, Richard Ryan and Howard Bieschke.
Mrs. Faur was a resident of Lombard since 1987 and was formerly of Villa Park from the 1940s to 1980s. She was a former member of the Lombard Women’s Club.

Edward Francour Jr.


Edward F. Francour Jr., 50, of Villa Park, formerly of Chicago, died Sunday, April 12.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Francour is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Kevin and Jillian; mother, Elizabeth; brother, Michael (Donna); a nephew and two nieces; sister-in-law, Jill (Dan) Casey; father-in-law, Henry (the late Norine) Piermattei; and special buddy, Riley. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sr.; and brothers, John (the late Regina) and Paul.
Mr. Francour was most recently employed as a systems consultant at Independent Statistical Service. He was a sports enthusiast his entire life, both as a team member and a fan. He most enjoyed his role as a basketball coach to Kevin and Jillian and teammates at St. A’s. He was an avid fan of the White Sox, Packers and Blackhawks.

James Frost


James E. Frost, 77, of Villa Park, died Friday, April 17, in Villa Park.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Frost is survived by his children, Kimberly, Tracey (Mike) Wolski and Eric; five grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Frost. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen; son, Gregory; and brother, Jack.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Laura Huisjen


Laura Huisjen, nee Knol, 92, of Wheaton, formerly of Lombard, died Tuesday, April 14, in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Huisjen is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Hart; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Lambert Knol Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian; and sister, Anna Hoffman.
Mrs. Huisjen resided in Lombard from 1982-87 and spent the last four years in Wheaton. She had worked as a teller and loan officer at Tri City Savings and St. Paul Savings in Lombard.

Joseph Jungblut


Joseph A. Jungblut, 83, of Wheaton, died Sunday, April 19, in Wheaton.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services and inurnment are private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Jungblut is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances; children, Joseph Jr. (Rene), Janice (Denny) Fitzgerald, Matthew (Robin) of Lombard, Peter (Elaine) and Andy (Linette) of Lombard; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark.
Mr. Jungblut was a resident of Wheaton for 55 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to CNS Hospice, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188, would be appreciated.

Eileen Kenney


Eileen C. Kenney, nee Hickey, 88, of Lombard, died Thursday, April 16, in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 18, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Tom Botheroyd officiating. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Kenney is survived by her children, Patrick (the late Joyce), Michael (Joan), Mary (Don) Twardowski and John (the late Gayle); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; grandson, Michael Kenney; and siblings, John (Joan) Hickey and Rita (the late Richard) Heathershaw.
Mrs. Kenney was a teacher and had worked at Resurrection Catholic School and St. Stanislaus School.

Harriet Klopp


Harriet A. Klopp, nee LaRocque, 95, of Lombard, died Sunday, April 19, at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Private services will be held today, April 22, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Mrs. Klopp s survived by her sons, Edward., M.D. (Patricia) and George (Carol); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVerne Green and Dorothy Wilcox; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilbert; and brothers, Bill and Larry LaRocque.
Mrs. Klopp was a resident of Lombard from 1943-74 and had also lived in Arkansas. She was a resident of Beacon Hill since 1989 and was very active in the Beacon Hill community.

Fatmire Limani


Fatmire Limani, 36, of Lombard, died Friday, April 17, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 21, at Forest Hills Memorials Park in Oak Creek, Wis.
Ms. Limani is survived by her children, Austin and Ashley Rinebold; stepchildren, Michael and Cristi Rinebold and Dawn Neumann; life partner, Walter Rinebold of Lombard; mother, Fekrije Limani; and siblings, Edita Dauti, Haxhera Saliu, Hatixha Alini, Maksut Limani and Muhamed Limani. She was preceded in death by her brother, Isa Limani.
Ms. Limani was a resident of Lombard since 1994 and was formerly of Bartlett.
Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Marilyn Ramel


Marilyn L. Ramel, nee Miller, 78, of Elgin, died Monday, April 13, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Elgin. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Ramel is survived by her sons, Michael (Barbara) and Thomas (LuAnne); five grandchildren; brother, Richard (Carol) Miller; sisters-in-law, Lillian Ramel and Ruth Ramel; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W.; brothers-in-law, Leo, Richard and Allen Ramel; and nephew, the Rev. David Ramel.
Mrs. Ramel grew up in Elmhurst and was a graduate of York High School. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 25 years and was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elmhurst for over 20 years. She was a member of the Altar Guild at Calvary Lutheran Church, was an artist, enjoyed ceramics, was a tap dancer and line dancer, was a member of the Red Hat Society and had been a Cub Scout den mother of Troop #20 at Immanuel Lutheran in Elmhurst. She had previously lived for 30 years in Villa Park and five years in Elmhurst.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Calvary Lutheran Church, 535 N. McLean Blvd., Elgin, IL 60123, would be appreciated.

Claude Sechrist Jr.


Claude Jerome “Jerry” Sechrist Jr., 78, of Lombard, died Friday, April 17, at Elmhurst Extended Care in Elmhurst.
Visitation will be Friday, April 24, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard. Interment is at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
Mr. Sechrist is survived by his sons, Curtis (Susann) and Christopher of Lombard; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo; daughter, Caren; and sisters, Rosemary and Martha.
Mr. Sechrist was a resident of Lombard since 1957. He received his BSEE degree from Buchnell University in Pennsylvania, and had retired in 1992 from Ideal Industries in Sycamore. He had previously worked for Intermatic in Sugar Grove. He was a member of YMCA Indian Guides and the IEEE Society, and was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Dr. Donald Stupegia


Dr. Donald Stupegia, 79, of Villa Park, died Friday, April 17.
A memorial Mass was held Tuesday, April 21, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park.
Dr. Stupegia is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Tony (Debbie) and Sarah (Tom) Stupegia-Heneghan; two grandchildren; and siblings, Robert (Karen) Stupegia and Frances Nebolon. He was preceded in death by his son, Sean (Sylvia).
Dr. Stupegia earned his M.S. degree in physical chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1952 and a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1956. He worked in electronic research and development and upon his retirement, found much joy in teaching chemistry as an adjunct college professor.

Justin Wolff


Justin Jerome Wolff, 86, died Thursday, March 19 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Committal services were held Wednesday, March 25, at the interment chapel of Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mr. Wolff is survived by his wife, Anneliese; daughter, Jeannette (Juergen) Vogel; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Wolff was a member of the RGV Men’s Choir, a member and past president of the Catholic Kopling Society and the former owner of Lilac Bakery and Pastry Shop in Lombard.

Everett Young Sr.


Everett J. “Jeff” Young Sr., 92, of Villa Park, died Sunday, April 12.
A memorial service is planned for April 25 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Lombard. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace is being planned for a future date.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol; sons, Everett “Rob” Jr. (Jeanne), Jeffrey (Shirley) and Thomas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Cale Kastanek.
