Johanna Golz


Johanna Golz, nee Luchenburg, 99, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, at  The Birches in Clarendon Hills.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 20, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. David Armstrong officiating. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mrs. Golz is survived by her sister, Clara (the late Jacob) Bussema; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; and siblings, Jacob, Joseph and Neal Luchtenburg and Annie DeJong, Josie Hoeksema and Pauline Hamstra.
Mrs. Golz was born in the Netherlands and was a homemaker.

Isabel Martinez

Isabel Vasquez Martinez, nee Vasquez, 75, of Lombard, died Thursday, Nov. 19, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 23, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church in Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Hector V.; sons, John of Lombard, Ruben V. of Lombard and Edwin (Donna) of Lombard; sister, Maria Perez; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Martinez was a resident of Lombard for 37 years and had retired from Precision Extrusions in Bensenville in the mid-1990s. She loved her dogs, gardening and cooking, and was a member of Christ the King Church for 37 years and was very active in prayer life. Her family was most important to her.

Richard Meinke

Richard Meinke, 86, of Lombard, formerly of Riverside, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services are being held today, Nov 25, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. Douglas Asbury of 1st United Methodist Church of Riverside officiating. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
Mr. Meinke is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Linda (Thomas) Mc Cann and Diane (William Kunkler) Meinke; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Meinke.
Mr. Meinke was a U.S. Air Force P47 fighter pilot during World War II and Korean Police Action; he was a retired major. He had worked as an architectural engineer in manufacturing quality assurance.

Charles Pickerill

Funeral services for Charles L. Pickerill, 77, of Villa Park, were held Sunday, Nov. 22, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Plano Cemetery in Plano.
Mr. Pickerill is survived by his children, Chuck K. (Karen), Barbara (Randy) Johnson and Margie (Bob) Klein; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Ken (the late Jackie), Rosavie (Ken) Handy and Marth (Jerry) Vanko; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eula (Neal) Adams.
Mr. Pickerill was a former Villa Park fire chief and was a former president of the DuPage Fire Chiefs Association.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Villa Park Fire Department would be appreciated.

William Seebauer

William J. “Bill” Seebauer, a longtime resident of Lombard, died Friday, Nov. 20, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 23, from Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard.
Entombment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Seebauer is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Richard) Caputo; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Rick, Blanche Goodwin and Fred Seebauer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; parents, William J. Sr. and Blanche Seebauer; and sister, Linda Giels.
Mr. Seebauer was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a retired employee of Hines VA Hospital. He was known as the “Kolacky King” by friends and family who have enjoyed his homemade Kolacky over the years. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge and volunteered many years at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. He was known as a man of great faith.

Mary Siegfried

Mary Pauline Siegfried, nee Burget, 98, formerly of Elmhurst, died Thursday, Nov. 19, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon, Lebanon, Ind.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 27, at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park. Interment is at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Northlake.
Mrs. Siegfried is survived by her daughter, Carol (Robert) Johanson; daughters-in-law, Charlotte and Dorothy; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W.; and sons, David and Donald.
Mrs. Siegfried was born in Texas and spent her school years in Brookston, Ind. She attended Teachers College in Indianapolis and had worked part-time as an order filler at Scripture Press.
Mrs. Siegfried was a resident of Elmhurst until 2005 when she moved to Lebanon. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church in Elmhurst, served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in Women’s Fellowship.

LaVergne Woloszyk

Funeral services for LaVergne Woloszyk were held Monday, Nov. 23, at Northlake Funeral Home, 140 E. North Ave., Northlake, to Mass at St. John Vianney Church. Entombment was at Assumption Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.
Mrs. Woloszyk is survived by her children, Roland (Linda), Glenn (Connie), Gerard and Brian; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert J.
