Harry Anderson


Funeral services for Harry “David” Anderson, 82, of Villa Park, were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Florice; children, Jill (John) Payne, Jack (Judy), Beth (Tom) Haaker and JoEllen (Greg) Cicero; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Theda (the late Raymond) Lehman and Willis (Charlotte) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward K.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Cary Brown


Cary V. Brown, 60, of Lombard, died Saturday, Sept. 26, at Elmhurst Memorial  Hospital in Elmhurst.
Visitation is today, Sept. 30, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment is at Elmlawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Lindsay (Jack) Rylands of Lombard, Daniel and Timothy, both of Lombard; mother, Phyllis; and brother, James (Suzanne) Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Cyril Brown.
Mr. Brown was a resident of Lombard for 35 years. He was a graduate of York High School and had worked as an industrial specialist for the USDA for 15 years. He had helped coach Sacred Heart football.

Anthony Guzzaldo


Anthony J. Guzzaldo, 85, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Sept. 28, in Glen Ellyn.
Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 1, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 2, with prayers from the funeral home to St. James the Apostle Church in Glen Ellyn. Entombment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Guzzaldo is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Maryann O’Neill of Lombard, Linda, Diane (Paul) Wenson and James (Linda Morgan); seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Geraldine Prisco); brother-in-law, Vincent (Caroline Mate) D’Agostino; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Edward O’Neill; sister, Josephine (the late John) Natiello; brother-in-law, Alex D’Agostino; and sister-in-law, June D’Agostino.
Mr. Guzzaldo was a resident of Raintree in Glen Ellyn since 1994 and a resident of Lombard from 1978-94. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, having served as a tech-sergeant in the 446 Bomb Group. He flew 31 missions in the service of his country.
Mr. Guzzaldo returned home to work as a Prudential Insurance agent for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He worked in the Berwyn/Cicero area in the Boulevard Manor Office. He was a member of the Glen Ellyn American Legion Post #135.

Ervin Hlousek


Ervin Hlousek, 85, of Elgin, died Sunday, Sept. 27, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
A Committal Service will be held Friday, Oct. 2, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elburn.
Mr. Hlousek is survived by his wife, Delores; and children, Darlene of Lombard, Don and Kevin.
Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Victor Jachino


Victor Jachino, 98, of Lombard, died Friday, Sept. 25, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 28, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lombard. Interment was private.
Mr. Jachino is survived by his children, Edward (Joan) and Carol (Glenn) Anderson of Lombard; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Winifred; and three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Jachino had been a resident of Lombard since 1948 and had retired in 1976 after 35 years as a maintenance manager for Montgomery Ward. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical  Lutheran Church for 61 years; had liked golfing, fishing and bowling well into his 90s; and spent his winters in Fort Myers, Fla.
Memorials to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2215 S. Lincoln St., Lombard, IL 60148, would be appreciated.

Robert Marron


Robert E. Marron, 74, of Villa Park, died Sunday, Sept. 27, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Visitation is today, Sept. 30, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Villa Park. Interment is at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake.
Mr. Marron is survived by his wife, Judith A. “Judy”; son, Kenneth M. “Ken” (Rhonda J.); siblings, Richard Marron, Gi Gi Marron and Laurie Lail; sisters-in-law, Luella Marron and Suzanne (Vern) Burton; brother-in-law, Conrad (Dorothy) Ryberg; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olive; siblings, Donald Marron, Bernice (the late Charles) Taddikken, Maida (the late Joe) Lentini, Evelyn (the late Harry) Strippling, Betty (the late George) Benyon and Francis (the late Bill) Lorite; sister-in-law, Maureen Marron; brother-in-law, Robert Clark; and lifetime best friend, Tom Suwanski.
Mr. Marron had been a resident of Villa Park for 17 years. He had driven a school bus for Timothy Christian School in Elmhurst and First Student in Villa Park. He was known for being one of the kindest, most loving men; and enjoyed camping with his wife and all his camper friends.

Edna Wagner


Edna E. Wagner, 75, of Fort Atkinson, Wis., died Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Fort Atkinson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, with the Rev. Jay Poster officiating. Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by her children, Cindy (Mickey Willard) Wagner, Tina (Don) Phillippe and Michael (Ericka); five grandchildren; and siblings, Harriet Heis, Alice Bulthuis and Fred (Pat) Woeckener. She was preceded in death on. Aug. 5 by her husband, Robert, whom she married in 1958; parents, Fred and Amanda Woeckener; and sisters, Lillian Mangus and Ethel (Rudy) Schroeder.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Badger Chapter FMCA RV Group. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening, fishing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved to watch and care for birds.
Memorials to Hospice Care Inc. would be appreciated.
