Daniel D’Adamo Sr.


Daniel D’Adamo Sr., 88, of Lombard, died Saturday, Feb. 13, in Downers Grove.
Visitation will be today, Feb. 17, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, from the funeral home to St. Giles Catholic Church in Oak Park, with the Rev. James Hearne officiating. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. D’Adamo is survived by his children, Antoinette (Sam) Priorello, Daniel Jr. (Mary) and Theresa (Len) Misztal; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Marie) D’Adamo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Antoinette; in-laws, John and Mary Stachura; wife, Evelyn; and siblings, Tony (Angie) D’Adamo and Rosie (Tony) Lettieri.
Mr. D’Adamo was born in Ripacandida, Italy, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was retired after working for the Nabisco Co. and the Milwaukee Railroad. He had boxed with the CYO in his youth, and was an avid boxing fan.

Alice Latelle

Alice A. Latelle, nee Karg, 91, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Berkeley, died Sunday, Feb. 7, in Nevada.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Latelle is survived by her sons, George Jr., Ronald (Martha) and Robert (Linda); six grandchildren, including George (Tracy) Latelle of Lombard; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr.

Michael Martin

Memorial visitation and services for Michael S. Martin, 67, of Florida, formerly of Elmhurst, were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Chris) Turek; father, Stanford Martin Sr.; siblings, Terry (Bunny), Pamela (Grant) Mulvey and Stan (Beth); and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; and son, Ryan.
Mr. Martin graduated from Sandburg Junior High School in 1965 with the first graduating class, and was a 1960 graduate of York High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1968-70 with the 1st Infantry Division.
Memorials to Glendale Heights VFW Post #2377 would be appreciated.

Betty Primas

Betty E. Primas, of Villa Park for 50 years, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, in Villa Park.
A memorial visitation and service will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment is private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Mrs. Primas is survived by her sons, Jay (Jenifer) and Lee (Cindy); five grandchildren; and stepsister, Mary (Douglas) Mittag. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland.
Diane Sementa
Diane M. Sementa, nee Guglielmi, 72, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Lexington Health Care in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 12, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Sementa is survived by her children, Monica, Dr. Anthony, DDS (Dr. Lee, PharmD) of Lombard and Michael (Cindy); five grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joseph Grzybek; and many nephews, nieces, devoted friends and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie M.; and sister, Anne Grzybek.
Mrs. Sementa was a resident of Lombard since 1965. She was a retired secretary, had worked for 20 years for Anthony Sementa, DDS, P.C., and also for over 15 years as a secretary for Dominick’s.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 4619 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago, IL 60640, would be appreciated.

Jeffrey Steadman Sr.

Jeffrey H. Steadman Sr., 65, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. Emily Mellott officiating. Interment was private.
Mr. Steadman is survived by his parents, Charles I and Muriel Steadman; wife, Linda; children, Chris (fiancée Nikki) Buziecki, Jeffrey Jr. (Barbara), Scott (Shannon) Buziecki, Charles, Alexander (Jennifer), Arthur and Michael Steadman; sister, Sheri Ryan; brothers-in-law, Michael (Cindy) and Robert (Karly) Stone; many nieces and nephews, and in-laws, Robert and Irene Stone.
Mr. Steadman was a graduate of Adelphi University and received a master’s degree from George Washington University. He was chief executive officer-hospital management at Renaissance Hospitals; executive vice president of Renaissance Hospital Management; former CEO of Suburban Hospital/Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District; and former vice president of MacNeal Hospital.
Mr. Steadman was a member of the Loretto Hospital Foundation and the Hospital Finance Management Association, and was a board member of Westside Insurance Co. He loved aviation and the outdoors.
