Deborah Brackmann


Deborah Ann Brackmann, nee Gilstrap, 51, of Homestead, Fla., formerly of Lombard, died Monday, Jan. 4, in Homestead.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Brackmann is survived by her husband, Richard, of Lombard; children, Melissa Temen of Lombard, Jason (Tracy) Phelps, Jennifer of Lombard and Sarah of Lombard; four grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Gilstrap-Gabriel, Terry Benham, Douglas (Kamille) Shopnitz and Ronald (Cindy) Gilstrap; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brackmann was a 1976 graduate of Glenbard East High School. She owned and operated the TLC Pet Service in Lombard for many years, and was a member of Lombard Gospel Chapel.

Marie Montroy

Marie Kelly Montroy, 49, of Lombard, died Friday, Jan. 8, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment was private.
Mrs. Montroy is survived by her sons, Jack and Chris; mother, Mary Theresa Kelly; siblings, Matt (Ann) Kelly, Tom (Sue) Kelly of Lombard, Chris Kelly and Clare (Scott) Metcalf; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Matthew Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to her children’s education fund would be appreciated.

Kathleen Sheppard

Kathleen Mary Sheppard, nee Grady, 67, of Lombard, died Friday, Jan. 1, at Northwestern Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 7, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Tom Corbino officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Sheppard is survived by her children, Tim (Sheila), Ryan and Maggie; three grandchildren; siblings, Judy (Jim) Mahoney, Bonnie DeCoursey, Robert (Michele) Marsh, James Marsh and Edward (Jeanie) Marsh; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A.
Mrs. Sheppard was a homemaker.

Joan Sylvester

Joan A. Sylvester, nee Migliozzi, 70, of Villa Park, died Sunday, Jan. 10, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
A memorial visitation and service are being held today, Jan. 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Villa Park. Interment is private.
Mrs. Sylvester is survived by her children, Frank (Dana) of Villa Park, Dominic (Gina), Gloria (Jeff) McArdle of Villa Park and Mary (Tom) Bayro; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; former husband, Peter J.; brother-in-law, William Beyers; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick and Mary; and sister, Gloria Beyers.
Mrs. Sylvester was a member of the Jackson Terrace Condo Association.

Mary Trongale

Mary R. Trongale, of Villa Park, died Monday, Jan. 11, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 14, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 15, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. John the Apostle Church in Villa Park. Interment is at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
Mrs. Trongale is survived by her children, Louis and Capt. Nick; two grandchildren; and sibling, Frances Scafidi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick S.; and daughter, Maria Nicolette Sulita.
Mrs. Trongale was a 40-year empoyee of J.W. Reedy Realtors.

Rosemary Wilson

Rosemary V. Wilson, nee Varecha, 89, of Glen Ellyn, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Snow Valley Nursing & Rehab in Lisle.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 9, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Entombment was at Assumption Mausoleum in Wheaton.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Varecha; and son-in-law, Allan LaPorte of Lombard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C.; and daughter, Marilyn LaPorte.
Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of Glen Ellyn since 1966. She had worked for over 30 years at Western Electric.
