Kathy Baker


Kathy M. Baker, nee Rardin, 61, of Lombard, died Thursday, May 27, in Lombard.
Funeral services are being held today, June 2, at First United Methodist Church in Lombard. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband of 42 years, John L. “Jack”; children, Amy (Michael) Johnson, Stacy (Steve) Perkins, Abigail (Jake) Epprecht, Jessica (Nate) Ewald, Claire of Lombard and Jon (Erin); 10 grandchildren (and one on the way); parents,  Richard and Shirley; siblings, Karen (Michael) Legler, Richard (Sheryl) and Larry (Lauren) Rardin; mother-in-law, Phyllis Baker; brother-in-law, Ken Baker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Elmer Baker.
Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Glenbard East High School in 1966, and attended Westley Memorial Nursing School in Chicago. She was a Certified Lactation Consultant and had worked for over 30 years with LaLeche League as a leader. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Lombard, where she had been a Sunday school teacher, served on the board of the credit union and volunteered with PADS.
Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Stephen Clinton

Stephen Michael Clinton, 52, of Lombard, died Sunday, May 16, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 19, at Wheaton Bible Church in West Chicago.
Mr. Clinton is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cynthia; children, Paul (Brandy) and Hannah; father, John; siblings, John Mark (Debbie), Priscilla (Stephen) Lehman, David, Philip (Julie) and Elizabeth (Gary) Bronstetter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty.
Mr. Clinton was born in Warren, Mich. He was an avid gardener, woodworker and barbecuer; loved working with media production and served as a volunteer on the technical production crew at Wheaton Bible Church for seven years prior to his current employment there; enjoyed music; had a heart for youth of all ages; and previously served on the staffs of First Baptist Church of Elmhurst, Midwest Bible Church and Midwestern Christian Academy of Chicago.
Memorials to Grace Ministries International, 13248 Roscoe Blvd., Sun Valley, CA 91352 (“Powell-Lebanon” on the memo line for his niece); or Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185 (for technical production ministry), would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations Ltd. and Memorial Chapel.

Gregory Graham

Gregory Phillip “Greg” Graham, 51, of Elburn, formerly of Lombard, died at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 28, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, with the Rev. James Ilten of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard officiating. Interment is private.
Mr. Graham is survived by his wife, Tracy; parents, Lynn and Vera Graham of Lombard; children, Mason and Austin; siblings, Marcia Catalano of Lombard, Kevin Graham of Lombard, Carole (Mark) Roberts, Jeff (Ann) Graham and Tim Graham of Lombard; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mr. Graham was born in Effingham and grew up spending many years on his grandparents’ farm. He attended St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1977. He found excavating and demolition work in the construction trade, working long hours but always finding time to work on various motorcycles and cars. He moved to Elburn in 1988.
Mr. Graham enjoyed working on motorcycles and was a car enthusiast. His 1950 Ford won the 1st Place Friday Night Award in Lombard and was also chosen to continue with an entry into the World of Wheels. He was known for hosting great parties and huge bonfires that brought friends and family from around the country.
