Ted Dawidowicz


Ted J. Dawidowicz, 81, of Lombard, died Friday, March 19, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
A memorial visitation is being held today, March 24, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, March 25, at Christ the King Church in Lombard. Interment is private at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney.
Mr. Dawidowicz is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene N.; children, Kenneth (Carolyn) and Deborah (John) Soboleski; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Lakowski.
Mr. Dawidowicz was a resident of Lombard for 44 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and was retired after working as an industrial designer in the appliance industry. He was a graduate of the Lombard Citizens Police Academy and was a member of VFW Post #5815 in Lombard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association, 150 N. Wacker, Suite 2360, Chicago, IL 60606; or Masses would be appreciated.

James Hart

James Hart, of Lombard, died Saturday, March 20, in Elmhurst.
A memorial Mass is being held today, March 24, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Tom Corbino officiating. Inurnment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Hart is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Jennie (Phil) Edwards and Jamie (Kevin Kurtin) Hart; five grandchildren; siblings, Peter (Alta) Hart and Diane (the late Gene) Mc Kewin; brother-in-law, Charles (Ruth) Tugana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joan O’Brien and John Hart.
Mr. Hart had done custodial work for a condo building.

Jeanette Taylor

Jeanette L. Taylor, 49, of Chicago, formerly of Lombard, died Sunday, March 21, in Lombard.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is private.
Ms. Taylor is survived by her son, Vincent Scott Miranda; mother, Sharon Shively; siblings, Edna (Earl) Borden and Clinton Taylor; five nieces and three nephews; and special friends, including Louis Rivera. She was preceded in death by her father, George Taylor; and stepfather, Ermel Shively.
Ms. Taylor was a resident of Lombard for 14 years. She had been an employee of Air Products in Elk Grove Village for over 20 years, was an active member of the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), was an avid shoe shopper along with her sister, and liked to travel. She enjoyed golfing with her son.

Marilyn Zimmermann

Marilyn Catherine Zimmermann, nee Frega, of San Marcos, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 26, in San Marcos.
A private memorial service will be held in Colorado later in March.
Mrs. Zimmermann is survived by her children, Jo An, Carol Mazie, Charles Jr. and Daniel; eight grandchildren; and brother, Bob Frega. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sr.; and sisters, Phyllis Dew and Shirley Frega.
Mrs. Zimmermann was a former resident of Lombard and Broomfield, Colo. She was a 1958 graduate of York High School in Elmhurst and was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
