Helen Ingleman


Helen H. Ingleman, nee Matheus, 92, of Beacon Hill Lombard, formerly of Portage, Ind., died Saturday, Feb. 27, at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
A graveside service will be held at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Ind.
Mrs. Ingleman is survived by her sons, Roger (Lynn) Siler and Scott (Debra) Siler; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Floyd Mathews; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell A. Siler and Wendall Ingleman; son, Russell G. Siler; and siblings, John Eagle, Elvira Svengalis and Alice Hanaway.
Mrs. Ingleman was a resident of Beacon Hill for eight years. She earned her teaching degree from Indiana University, and taught in the Highland School System in the 1970s.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Marcia Morehouse

Marcia F. Morehouse, nee Peterson, 73, of Glen Ellyn, died Wednesday, Feb . 24, at Wheaton Care Center in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 27, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was private at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
Mrs. Morehouse is survived by her children, Cheryl, Cathy (Lee) Donahue of Lombard and Dennis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Morehouse was a resident of Glen Ellyn since 1975. She had worked for Carson Pirie Scott in Yorktown and Fox Valley shopping centers. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lombard, the Order of the Eastern Star (OES), the Rainbow Girls in Wheaton; and and been an active leader in Brownies and Girl Scouts in the 1960s and 1970s in Glen Ellyn.

Judy Reiss

Judy L. Reiss, nee Zmuda, 57, of Lombard, died Monday, Feb. 22, in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 26, with prayers from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Tom Corbino officiating. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery.
Mrs. Reiss is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Kevin and Kelly (Jason Waclawik) Reiss; mother, Florence Zmuda; siblings, Nancy (Peter) DeBruin, Joseph (Denise) Zmuda and Donna (Mark) Stallmann; brother-in-law, Bill (Jackie) Reiss; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Zmuda; brother-in-law, Bob (Dawn) Reiss; and one niece.
Mrs. Reiss had worked as a librarian.

Irene Sledz

Irene H. Sledz, nee Pisanko, 92, of Beacon Hill, Lombard, formerly of Villa Park, died Friday, Feb. 26, at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Peter Jarosz officiating. Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
Mrs. Sledz is survived by her husband, Joseph J.; children, Melanie (Dennis) Kofink, Mary Lou and Jim (Janine); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Sledz had been a resident of Beacon Hill for eight years and was formerly of Clearwater, Fla. for 22 years, and formerly of Villa Park. She had worked at Sears Roebuck and Co. in Oak Brook shopping center in the 1970s.

Lillian Stephenson

Lillian F. Stephenson, nee Buckingham, 84, of Winfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Oak Brook Nursing Home in Oak Brook.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was private at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her sons, Bob (Becky) and Jim (Barbara); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ed (Annette) Buckingham; brother-in-law, Bob Trezek; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; and sisters, Grace Suppes and Dorothy Trezek.
Mrs. Stephenson was a resident of Winfield for over 25 years and was formerly of Lombard for over 30 years. She had retired from the Lombardian newspaper, where she had worked in ad sales. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) for over 50 years.

Mary Ann Thompson

Mary Ann Thompson, nee Schauls, 76, of Lombard for 48 years, died suddenly Saturday, Feb. 27, in Lombard.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at Christ the King Church in Lombard. Interment is at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her children, Mary Carol Dooley (Ahmed) Badat, John Dooley, Kathy Dooley (Nick) Dalby, Jeanne Dooley (Thomas) Ryan, Tricia Dooley Hart, Gregory and Janice Love (Ken) Thompson; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, William (Valletta) Schauls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Durand, Wis., to Julius and Clara Schauls. She graduated with a nursing degree from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minn., where she recently attended her 50th class reunion. She had a 45-year career as a nurse at Elmhurst Memorial and Loyola University hospitals.
She was known for her warmth, happiness, positive spirit; unique understanding of human compassion; for touching lives of many people; and for being fun, quick-witted and always ready with a joke and a smile. She loved to entertain; enjoyed water aerobics, golf, cards, tai chi, good food (and lots of conversation about it); and enjoyed traveling to many locations around the world. She was active at and a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard.
Memorials to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Smile Train or DuPage PADS would be appreciated.

Marie Wiley

Funeral services for Marie F. Wiley, nee Spevack, 92, formerly of Elmhurst for over 50 years, were held Saturday, Feb. 27, with prayers from Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst, to Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Wiley is survived by her daughters, Diana Fern (Joe) Sebastian and Alice (Tim) Hogan; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her “Chums” from Blessed Agnes Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
Mrs. Wiley was an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Saint Thomas Hospice, 8230 S. Madison St., Burr Ridge, IL 60527, would be appreciated.
