Helen Brasseur


Helen H. Brasseur, nee Dube, 54, of Lombard for 18 years, died Tuesday, March 23, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
A time of remembrance was held Saturday, March 27, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was private.
Mrs. Brasseur is survived by her husband, Mark W.; children, Amy (Jamie) Brown and Tony (Courtney) Reed; three grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Debbie) Hultin, Art (Avis) Hultin and Dan (Kate) Hultin; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ted (Ann) Brasseur, Brian (Cathy) Brasseur, David (Pat) Brasseur, Beth (Michael) Boorgault and Joy Brasseur. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tim and Al Hultin; and brother-in-law, Paul Brasseur.
Donations to Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton would be appreciated.

William Galivan

Funeral services for William R. Galivan, 88, of Villa Park, were held Friday, March 26, at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Villa Park.
Mr. Galivan is survived by his wife, Gemma; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

James Harvey III

James Ellis Harvey III, 61, died Monday, March 22, in Bloomingdale.
A memorial service and celebration will be held at the Wheaton VFW on Sunday, April 11.
Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife, Patricia; children and stepchildren, Lori Harvey, Jim (Donna) Harvey, Ron (Donna) Harvey, Jennifer (David) Keers and Lisa (Frank) Urbanski; mother, Jean Harvey; 10 grandchildren; brother, Hank (Bridget) Harvey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James II; and brother, Michael.
Mr. Harvey was a 1968 graduate of Willowbrook High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
Memorials to the Wheaton VFW, 0N731 Papworth Road, Wheaton, IL 60187, would be appreciated.

Florence Jedlowski

Visitation and funeral services for Florence P. Jedlowski, 89, of Villa Park, are being held today, March 31, at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Villa Park. Interment is at Resurrection Cemetery.
Mrs. Jedlowski is survived by her sister, Anthony (Leona) Janiszewski; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and siblings, Joseph Janiszewski, Helen (Joseph) Kosztowny, Walter (Florence) Janiszewski and Sophie Janiszewski.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Irene Kral

Irene P. Kral, nee Kielma, 90, of Oak Brook, died Sunday, March 21, in Westmont.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at Our Lady’s Chapel at Mayslake Village, with the Rev. Larry Dreffein officiating. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
Mrs. Kral is survived by her son, Ronald (Mary Ann); four grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril G.; and daughter, Nancy (Nicholas) Conforti.
Mrs. Kral had been a factory worker in the steel industry.

Frederick Lohrentz

Funeral services for Frederick W. Lohrentz, 90, of Villa Park, were held Thursday, March 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mr. Lohrentz is survived by his wife, Elfriede; children, Susan (Terry) Webster and Barbara (Jeffrey) Siegman; and one grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, 60181, would be appreciated.

Irene Michalek

Irene Sophie Michalek, nee Opasinski, 88, of Lombard, died Monday, March 22, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Tom Corbino officiating. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
Mrs. Michalek is survived by her son, Marty; daughter-in-law, Gail Michalek; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S.; and four brothers.
Memorials to an organization of your choice would be appreciated.

John Sheehan

John P. Sheehan, 78, of Lombard, died Monday, March 22, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 27, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Sheehan is survived by his wife, Marie; children, JoAnne (Gary) Reinking, Michael (Patricia), Carol Boswell and John (Paula); 10 grandchildren; and sister- and brother-in-law, Sister JoAnne Cozzi, D.C., and Gerald Cozzi.
Mr. Sheehan had worked as a production manager in the food industry.
