Helen Goetschel

Helen V. Goetschel, nee Durkin, 88, of Villa Park, died Saturday, Nov. 6.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 9, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Goetschel is survived by her children, Helen (Gary) Polgar, Patricia (Norman) Miller and Monica Gendreau; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George F.; and brother, George M. (Nancy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

James Nasti

James Nasti, 89, of Lombard, formerly of Elmhurst, found peace Oct. 31, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main, Lombard, Ill., today, Nov. 10, where Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter Jarosz officiating. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Nasti was the loving husband of Jane, nee McElligott; dear father of Thomas Nasti, Jane (George) DuPrey and the late Michael J. Nasti and James P. (survived by Peggy) Nasti; proud grandfather of Jessica, Sara, Anthony and Michelle DuPrey, Christopher, Joseph, Michael and Celeste Nasti; and great-grandfather of eight.
Mr. Nasti was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.

Dolores Nelsen

Dolores “Dee” Nelsen of Lombard passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Calvary Hospital in New York. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard.
Ms. Nelsen is survived by her daughters, Julie Nelsen of Chicago and Jennifer Nelsen Colao of Bronxville, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Moore and Christopher, Caroline and Catherine Colao, and by her brother, Robert Faulk.
Ms. Nelsen was a resident of Lombard for over 30 years. She grew up in Kalamazoo, Mich. She was a travel consultant at Oak Brook Travel and Meridian Travel for over 40 years and counted so many of her clients among her many close friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She always had a smile for everyone, but she especially loved her grandchildren, and they, her.

Mary Carol Reedy

Mary Carol Reedy, 70, of Villa Park, died Saturday, Oct. 30, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
A memorial Mass was held Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Ms. Reedy is survived by her children, Louis Karlovich of Lombard, Sheila (Rory) McKeown, Dean (Diane) Karlovich, James Karlovich, Beth Karlovich of Villa Park and June Reedy; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Joseph (Donna) Reedy, Robert (Ann) Reedy, Betty (Michael) McCarthy, Patricia Jandel, Jean Gerhard and Rosemary (Russ) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Louise and Betty Reedy; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Jack Reedy.
Ms. Reedy was a lifelong resident of Villa Park and a realtor for 25 years.

Noeline Talab

Noeline T. Talab, nee Titsworth, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 6, at Lexington Health Care in Lombard.
Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 10, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chicago.
Mrs. Talab is survived by her children, Carol (Les) Wright, James (LaRee), William (Mary Anne) and Debra (Brian) Proska of Lombard; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, May Johnson, Louise “Mickey” (Bob) Clark, Jean Rogers, Joan McLaughlin and David (Sharon) Titsworth; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R.; sons, Daniel J. and Robert; sister, Helen Narragon; and brother, Irvin Titsworth.
Mrs. Talab grew up in Chicago, and attended Englewood High School and Prairie State College, where she earned her R.N. degree. She worked as a nurse in nursing homes, retiring 25 years ago. She resided in Steger, Ill., until moving to the Lombard/Glen Ellyn area 10 years ago.
