Terri Burch

Terri Burch of Lombard/Carol Stream was a remarkable woman who lost her nine-year battle with cancer on Nov. 18, 2010, surrounded by her family. As she has done throughout her life, she met this challenge with refined dignity, grace and of course, her incredible sense of humor.
As the matriarch of our family, she guided our lives with her insight, selflessness, and values that will inspire us for the rest of our lives. A gifted vocalist, Terri sang in the church choir at Sacred Heart in Lombard for many years and roused her children for school with a chorus of “Rise and Shine!!” in the morning. Of course we passed this tradition on to our children.
Her idea of a perfect evening was to be in the company of family and friends, regaling everyone with stories from years ago with a healthy dose of compassion, amazing recall and amazing wit.
Momma you truly will be missed.
Terri is survived by her fiancé of 30 years, Cliff Denning, and his amazing family; her children, Greg (Kathi), Dewey (Beth Ann), Steve (Ann) and Traci; her sister, Marge; and the Callahan family. She was predeceased by her son, Mike; and grandson, Garrett.
Her grandchildren Mike, Alexandra, Ashleigh, Katherine, Natalia, Steven, Greg, Lauren and Logan loved how she took an active interest in their lives and built a special relationship with each one of them.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church, 1891Kaneville Road, Geneva. today, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, take a moment and think of Terri. And remember her with a smile.
Arrangements were made by Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street, St Charles.
