Nancy Albert

Nancy Albert passed on Friday, Oct. 29.
She was the daughter of Rudy and Rose Albert; and sister of Rudy Albert Jr., Judi DeFalco and Randy Albert.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3 S 460 Curtis, Warrenville, Ill., on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at 3 p.m.

Lorrain Joorfetz

Funeral services for Lorrain L. Joorfetz, nee Mollenkamp, were held Monday, Nov. 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Joorfetz is survived by her children, James (Diane) and Robert (Susan); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C.; and daughter, Kathleen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 545 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, 60181, would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Dolores Nelsen

Dolores “Dee” Nelsen of Lombard passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Calvary Hospital in New York. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard.
Ms. Nelsen is survived by her daughters, Julie Nelsen of Chicago and Jennifer Nelsen Colao of Bronxville, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Moore and Christopher, Caroline and Catherine Colao, and by her brother, Robert Faulk.
Ms. Nelsen was a resident of Lombard for over 30 years. She grew up in Kalamazoo, Mich. She was a travel consultant at Oak Brook Travel and Meridian Travel for over 40 years and counted so many of her clients among her many close friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She always had a smile for everyone, but she especially loved her grandchildren, and they, her.

Thomas Skibicki

Thomas Skibicki, 62, of Lombard, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 31, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be today, Nov. 3, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Private interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Skibicki is survived by his wife, Debora; children, Aubrey and Thomas Andrew; and siblings, Louis (Corrine), Phyllis (Emil) Schaefer, Robert (Betty), Carol (Richard) Goggins and Ronald (Mary). He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Balbina; and sister, Alice Klein.
Mr. Skibicki was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam as a medic in the 1st Air Cavalry Division, earning several medals, including a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Air Medal. He was employed at the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 30 years in Glendale Heights and enjoyed one year of retirement.
He was a lover of pinochle, the White Sox, Chicago Bears, The Who, the Blackhawks, family vacations at Lake Matthews in Wisconsin, cold beer and bad jokes (aka Tommy jokes).
