Anthony Cerra

Anthony “Bruno” Cerra, 73, of Lombard, died Sunday, Oct. 17, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 21, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 22, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Villa Park. Interment is at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Cerra is survived by his wife, Marian P.; and daughter, Jean M. of Lombard.
Mr. Cerra was a resident of Lombard for 20 years and was formerly of Addison.

Margaret Gibson

Margaret E. Gibson, nee Lederer, 87, of Oak Park, died Thursday, Oct. 14, in Oak Park.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 18, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was private at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her children, Eric, Joyce (Dale) Blanchard and Joanne (Gary) Hamblin; one granddaughter; and brother, Ed (Emily) Lederer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sven Egan Gibson.
Mrs. Gibson was a resident of Oak Park for one year and had spent most of her life in the Lombard/Villa Park area. She had lost her husband as a young mom and raised her children and worked for General Electric, retiring in 1990.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 30 N. Michigan, Suite 2015, Chicago, Il 60602, would be appreciated.

Jane Glogowski

Jane K. Glogowski, nee Kwit, 86, formerly of Lombard, died Thursday, Oct. 14, at Wauconda Healthcare and Rehab in Wauconda.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 18, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Glogowski is survived by her children, Kathleen Nelson, Chester M. (Jean) and Jerrold S. (Elizabeth); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Joe Malczyk, Robert Kosman and Stanley Charnevsky; and some nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester F.; siblings, Mary Malczyk, Bernice Kosman, Josephine Charnevsky and Edwin Kwit; and son-in-law, Edward Nelson.
Mrs. Glogowski was a resident of Lombard for 53 years.

Sandra Grayson

Visitation for Sandra Grayson, nee Salemi, of Lombard, will be held today, Oct. 20, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard. Entombment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Grayson is survived by her husband, John; children, John Ross and Jessica Grayson; sister, Anna Marie Hubbard; sister-in-law, Gail Lynn Grayson; and aunt, Pat Pasquale Siracusa.
Mrs. Grayson had worked as a risk administrator at Jewel Foods for 28 years.

Geraldine Neary

Geraldine E. “Gerry” Neary, 69, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 16, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Neary is survived by her children, Sean (Molly), Maureen (John) Mihic of Lombard, Tim (Katie) and Mike (Evelyn) of Lombard; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Peter) Conroy, Joseph (Judy) Branick, Tom Branick, Bonnie (Tony) Mesik, Bob (Lois) Branick and Susie (Joe) Latala; brother-in-law, Larry Newborn; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; grandson, Daniel; brother-in-law, Ron Witt; and sister, Maureen Newborn.
Mrs. Neary was a resident of Lombard since 1976. She grew up in Chicago and was formerly of Hillside, graduated from Providence-St. Mel High School and received her associate degree from Triton College. She was employed by Citi Bank in customer relations for over 20 years and retired in 1999.
Mrs. Neary was active at Sacred Heart Church and attended Mass every day. She was active in the Aftercare Program at the Wellness Center in Hinsdale, and Women’s Choice Services in Lombard. Her hobbies were gardening and her grandchildren.

Archie Price

Funeral services for Archie R. Price, 87, were held Monday, Oct. 18, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Lucille; brother-in-law, Walter (Shirley) Kozlow; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Price; and brother-in-law, Wallace (Ann) Szadde.
Mr. Price was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was a 1946 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, and was a 64-year licensed Illinois funeral director and embalmer. He was the present co/owner of Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary in Elmhurst since 1974, was the owner of Steuerle Funeral Home in Villa Park from 1969-96 and was formerly employed by the original John V. May Funeral Home in Chicago.
Mr. Price was a lifetime member of VFW Post #2801, was a past president and member of the Villa Park Lions Club and was a retired board member of Villa Park Trust and Savings Bank.

Carol Salas

Carol Ann Salas, nee Hoffman, 53, of Gurnee, formerly of Villa Park, died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 16.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 22, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Interment is private.
Mrs. Salas is survived by her children, Mickey Wozny, Michael and Jennifer; two grandchildren; siblings, Christopher J. (Kathy) Hoffman and Janet (Kevin) Riddick; and one niece and one nephew.
Mrs. Salas was a member of the Illinois State Crime Commission.

Lorraine Sansone

Lorraine Sansone, nee Errgang, 85, of Lombard, died Saturday, Oct. 16, in Lombard.
Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 21, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 22, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. John Guiney officiating. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Sansone is survived by her children, Janet (Ronald) Behnke and Robert (Barbara); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois (the late John) Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.
Mrs. Sansone had worked as a school secretary.

Pasquale Saporito

Funeral services for Pasquale “Pat” Saporito, 74, of Villa Park, were held Tuesday, Oct. 19, at St. Alexander Church gathering space in Villa Park. Entombment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Saporito is survived by his wife, Grace; daughter, Lidia (Eric) Johnson; one grandchild; siblings, Mario (Pina), Alfredo (Renata), Giuseppina (Giuseppe) Canaletta and Rosa (Giuseppe); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sr. Suora Maria Giaconta.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Anna Senerius

Anna Senerius, nee Fyfe, of Lombard, died Friday, Oct. 15, in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 19, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Thomas Corbino officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Senerius is survived by her children, Roger, (Lynda), Barb (Rich) Malec, Sandy (Mike) Grego and Greg (Gina); nine grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Benny Docherty and Norman (Ginny) Senerius; many nieces and nephews; and dearest friends, Terry and Bob Lewan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; and four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Senerius was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and was a nurse at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, She volunteered at the hospital during her retirement.

Madonna Steiner

Madonna Martha Steiner, 91, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010. 

Mrs. Steiner is survived by her son Mark (Darlene) Steiner; brother Ray (Katie) Schrader, grandchildren, Debbie Steiner and Matt (Samantha) Steiner; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Claire Steiner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathias; and siblings, Mabel Schrader, Harriet Quintero, Myrtle Hussak, Lorraine Brooks and Helen Mallow.  
Mrs. Steiner was born in Wabeno, Wis., on June 2, 1919.  She later moved to Chicago before settling on Division Street in Villa Park where she lived much of her life.  
She worked as a waitress for many years. After retiring, she cared for her grandchildren full-time. She was an accomplished baker by day, and an avid Bingo player by night.

Graham Watson

Graham W. Watson, 85, of Lombard, died Sunday, Oct. 17, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Visitation will be today, Oct. 20, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home. Interment is at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. Watson is survived by his children, Marilou, Cynthia Jean (Donald) Jacobs of Lombard and Robert J. (Eileen); three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, William Watson; and many loving cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsa C.; and brother, John (Doris) Watson.
Mr. Watson was a resident of Lombard for 55 years. He was a graduate of Steinmetz High School in Chicago and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II in the Pacific. He had managed service stations in Lombard at Main Street and St. Charles Road, in Wheaton at Geneva Road and Main Street, and at Five Corners in Glen Ellyn.
He had worked as a maintenance foreman for Glenbard West and Glenbard East high schools, retiring in 1986 from Glenbard Township High School District 87. He loved dancing, musicals and history.

Marion Zillner

Marion Zillner, 72, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at her home in Elgin.
She was a former Lombard resident of 14 years. She was born June 10, 1938, in Germany. She was 16 years old when she came to the United States, with her family, and became a proud citizen. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Elgin, the Elgin Garden Club and president of the Willow Lakes Garden Club. Gardening and her family were her passions.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Ronald of Elgin; one daughter, Sue (Mike) Doyle of Lombard; two sons, Chris (Linda) Zillner of Itasca and Peter (Ann) Zillner of Elgin; six grandchildren; and many cousins in Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Gertrud Argens; and her sister, Ingrid Ann Walker.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Church Road, Elgin (847-695-0144). Burial is private. Arrangements and service information with Madison Funeral Home, Elgin, 847-741-1128 or www.madisonfuneralhomeelgin.com.
