Robert Gockman

Robert L. Gockman, 80, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Gockman is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Mary Rohde, Mark, Thomas (Carol), Michael (Marina) and Richard (May); 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gockman was a resident of Lombard for 41 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1955-57. He was the former assistant chief at The Blind Center for Hines Hospital, where he made many contributions through writing and photography. He enjoyed writing and was dedicated to his family and many grandchildren, and enjoyed reading to them.

Anne Hendron

Funeral services for Anne M. Hendron, nee Steger, 83, of Villa Park, were held Monday, Nov. 14, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Hendron is survived by her children, William (Susan), Richard (Caryl), Sandra Larson, John and Robert; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Robert) Hertz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack”; and siblings, Michael, Peter and Joseph Steger, Sylvia Munson and Theresa Steger.

Castell Jones

Funeral services for Castell Jones, nee Chambers, 83, of Lombard, were held Thursday, Nov. 10, at Knobb Creek Cemetery in Dukedon, Ky.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her children, William W. (Marie A.) and Roy D. of Lombard; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruby (the late W.L.) Philips and Jettie (Robert) Jones; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel; and three sisters and two brothers.

Stanford Martin Sr.

A memorial visitation for Stanford E. “Bud” Martin Sr., 90, of Elmhurst and Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
Mr. Martin is survived by his children, Terry P. (Norma), Pamela J. (Grant M.) Mulvey and Stanford E. Jr. (Beth); six grandchildren; brother, Paul P. Jr. (Marion); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul P. Sr. and Myrtle Martin; wife, Helen E.; son, Michael; and grandson, Ryan.
Mr. Martin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.

Robert James Palmer

Robert James Palmer, 100, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 7.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mr. Palmer was the beloved husband of the late Laura (nee Pendleton) and Thelma (nee Rheingrover); loving father of Margaret Grace Rogers and Lynne Elizabeth (Fred) Robnett; cherished grandfather of Scot, Joshua (Rachel) and Amy Robnett, and Gabriel (Naomi) Rogers; proud great- grandfather of Savannah, Sophia, Ethan, Jocelyn and Dillon; and treasured dog grandfather and best friend of Casey, Ruby, Patchy, Buster, Chumley and Wednesday.
