Donald Bogosh

Donald Bogosh, 78, of Addison, died Monday, Nov. 21, at Lexington Healthcare, Lombard.
Funeral services are being held today, Nov. 23, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard.
Mr. Bogosh is survived by his children, Deb (Jim) Tauber of Lombard and Curtiss (Nancy); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Lila); a nephew and niece; ex-wife and friend, Peg Bogosh; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert.
Mr. Bogosh was a resident of Addison for three years and was formerly of River Grove, Palatine and Bensenville. He was born in Chicago and was a graduate of Schurz High School in Chicago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Europe during the Korean war.
Mr. Bogosh owned Bogosh Industries, a machine shop in Franklin Park, from 1967 to 2001, and was an inventor and an optimist.

Martha Buffa

Funeral services for Martha L. “Marty” Buffa, nee Chinell, 56, of Villa Park, were held Friday, Nov. 18, at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elmhurst. Interment was at Irving Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Buffa is survived by her husband, Albert Jr.; son, Brian (Caitlin); parents, Roy and Lillian Chinell; siblings, Gail (Bob) Moran, Candice (Willie) Bren, and Penny (Scott) Svetic; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon; and brother, Roy Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Merl Douglas

Merle Douglas, 86, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 19, with the Rev. Ken Lehman officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Douglas is survived by his children, Anita (Emory) Smith, Catherine (the late Thomas) Kistler, Scott (Patricia) and David; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Killingsworth; and three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Douglas was a veteran of the armed forces. He had worked in retail public relations, was a longtime member of Christ Church of Oak Brook, a docent at Brookfield Zoo and served at Mayslake Peabody Estate.
Memorials to Brookfield Zoo or the Mayslake Peabody Estate Restoration Fund would be appreciated.

Mildred Glumm

Mildred C. Glumm, 98, formerly of Oak Park, died Saturday, Nov. 19, in Kentucky.
Funeral services are being held today, Nov. 23, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Mary Ward

Mary E. Ward, nee Rapp, 83, died peacefully, surrounded by family, Sunday, Nov. 20.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is at Elmlawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her children, Lee (Scott) Westphal, Karen (Jim) Wingard, John, Bernice (Pete) Conlin and Julie (Dave) Segatti; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry.
Mrs. Ward was raised in Battle Creek, Mich., with her seven siblings and moved to Illinois to work at Hines Hospital, where she met her husband, Henry. She was a dedicated nurse at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for over 35 years and her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, watching “Wheel of Fortune” and reality TV shows. She was a 50-year resident of Lombard.

Marie Weisenborn

Funeral services for Marie A. Weisenborn, 67, of Villa Park, were held Sunday, Nov. 20, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mrs. Weisenborn is survived by her husband of 49 years, George W. Sr.; children, George W. Jr. (Kim) and Carolyn (Matt) Weisenborn; three grandchildren; and siblings, Karen (Ken) Czerwinski and Neil (Vicky) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Mary Anderson.

Marjorie Louise Wind

Marjorie Louise “Midge” Wind, nee Golladay, passed away on Tuesday, Nov 8, 2011, in Haines City, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 17, 2011, at the Danevang Lutheran Church, Danevang, Texas. Interment is private.
Mrs. Wind was the beloved wife of the late Ejolf “Ed” Wind; cherished mother of Dennis L. (Crystal) and the late Kenneth L. (Mary); treasured grandmother of Wendy Kelly, Tamara (Brad) Spicer, Craig (Kristie) Wind, Keith (Michele) Wind and Bryan Wind; adored great-grandmother, and aunt of many.
Born on June 15, 1921, in Athens, Ill., she was a long time resident of Villa Park, Ill., and lived a short time in Carol Stream, Ill., before moving to Florida. She worked as a statistician for Marshall Field & Co., Oak Brook, for 34 years; enjoyed travel, church, antiquing, card games of all sorts, and community affairs; but most of all, she enjoyed her five grandchildren.
