William “Bill” Dziak Jr.

William “Bill” Dziak Jr., 62, of Villa Park, died Sunday, April 8, 2012. He passed away quietly surrounded by his brother and sisters at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Interment was private.
Mr. Dziak is survived by his sister, Susan (Matthew) Misch; sister, Mary Dziak; brother, Richard (Joan) Dziak; sister, Sylvia Dziak; and sister, Nancy Dziak; and was “Uncle Bill” to nine nieces and nephews.

Jeanette Havenga

Jeanette Elizabeth “Nettie” Havenga, nee Slinkman, 77, died Monday, April 23, in Glen Ellyn.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Laird officiating. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mrs. Havenga is survived by her husband, Al; children, Katie (Jack) Murray, Bob (Marilyn), Al (Pam), Bev (the late Rob) Mruk, Bruce (Barb), Brian, Brett (LeeAnn), Bonnie (John) Wagner and Beth Ciabattari; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joan Gailbreth, Henry (Marie) Slinkman, Bernice (Tom) Sojak, Ruth (Dwight) Johnson and Edith (George) Vos; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Beatrice (the late Lambert) Steen and Harold (Harriet) Havenga.
Mrs. Havenga was a homemaker.

Jack M. Schatz

Jack M. Schatz, 89, a 60-year resident of Lombard, departed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday April 21, 2012, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
A funeral service will be held today, April 25, 2012, 11 a.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton. Interment is at Forest Hill Cemetery.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Carolyn Bergstrom Schatz for 62 years; loving father to Barbara (Donald) Finnie, Lyn (Mike) Burton, and Kenneth (Paula) Schatz; proud grandfather of  Cheryl (Ron) Mika, Jeanette (Eric) Leach, Tamara (Sean) Harrison, Georgette and Brett Finnie, Darryl, Michelle and Steven Burton, and Curtis, Kenny and Aubrie Schatz; great-grandfather of Mikayla and Alexis Mika, Jake and Hannah Leach, and Jayden, Colin and Ashlynn Finnie; brother of Aida (Dan) Gordon; and dear uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Curtis.   
Mr. Schatz started and owned Kenneth Allen Co., a Lombard-based restoration and remodeling company for 56 years. He was an avid fan of all Chicago professional sports teams.  He enjoyed a life of sponsoring many athletic teams, including the Kenneth Allen Volleyball Club and Kenneth Allen Softball team. For over 20 years, he was the national chairman of AAU Junior Olympic Volleyball.

William Sullivan Jr.

Funeral services for William J. Sullivan Jr., 80, of Villa Park, were held Tuesday, April 24, at St. Alexander Church gathering space in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his children, Michael, Tim (Val), Mary (Mike) Meranda, Dan (Donna), Rich (Laura), Willie (Jana), Katie Lantz, Maureen (Mike) Dvorak, Tina (Frank) DeLuca and Tommy; 25 grandchildren; nine-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.
Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
