Everett Hawbaker

Everett Hawbaker, 82, of Batavia, Ill., passed away on Wednesday Jan. 25, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn (Cox) Hawbaker; three sons, James E. (Sandra) Hawbaker of Bartlett, Ill., Thomas A. (Brenda) Hawbaker of Nottingham, Md., and Donald F. (Gayle) of Griffin, Ga.; three daughters, Karen J. (Rick) Willey, of Hendersonville, Tenn., Deanne S. (the Rev. Timothy) Wynne of Union Grove, Wis., and Laura J. (the Rev. Daniel) Harrison of Lake-in-the-Hills, Ill.; brother, the Rev. Marvin (Cathy) Hawbaker, of Romulus, Mich.; and three sisters, Clesta (Ernest) Keller of Spencer, Ind., Susan (Rev. Thomas) Wright of Elkhart, Ind., and Marilyn (Jon) Brower of Alamo, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Twenty-five grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren also survive.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Kenneth Hawbaker of Urbandale, Iowa; his sister-in-law, Wava Hawbaker of Adel, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Dr. Gordon Hess of Spencer, Ind..
Everett held church pastorates in Hunts Corners, N.Y.; Webster City and Reinbeck, Iowa; Huron, S.D.; and Lombard, Bensenville and St. Charles, Ill.

Frances Hogue

Frances Hogue, nee Krapausky, of Lombard, died Friday, Jan. 27.
Funeral services are being held today, Feb. 1, at First Baptist Church in Moline, Ill.
Mrs. Hogue is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. (Peter) Abruzzo of Lombard; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Michael Carpentier; brother-in-law, Hugh (Roberta) Hall; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenny M. Hall, Eugene Magnuson and Edgar Hogue; daughter, Carol Carpentier; and two brothers.
Mrs. Hogue was born in Kewanee, Ill., and moved to East Moline and then Moline as a young adult and raised her family there prior to moving to The Meadows of Glen Ellyn in 2003 and then to Lombard. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Moline.

Richard Miller

Richard H. “Dick” Miller, 98, of Lombard, formerly of Riverside, died Thursday, Jan. 26, at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 30, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. Miller is survived by his children, Marilyn Jewell and Richard (Barbara); four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; and son-in-law, Patrick Jewell.
Mr. Miller was a graduate of St. John’s Military Academy and was a former member of the Old Boys Association at St. John’s. He was a member of the Shriners and the Scottish Rite and was a 33rd Degree Mason. He was a past president of the La Grange Board of Realtors.

Bruce Nitti

Bruce R. Nitti, 56, of Villa Park, died Friday, Jan. 27.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 31, from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Domitilla  Church in Hillside. Interment is pending.
Mr. Nitti is survived by his wife, Lydia; children, Danielle and Nicole; father, Victor E. Sr. (the late Irene); and was the uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Victor E. Jr.

Justin Novak

Justin W. Novak, 31, of Villa Park, died Friday, Jan. 27.
Funeral services are being held today, Feb. 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Villa Park. Interment is private.
Mr. Novak is survived by his parents, John and Janette; brother, Jonathan (Brandy); a niece and nephew; aunts and uncles, Emil (Karen) Novak, David (Sandra) Novak, Ruth (the late Raymond) Carlson, Marilyn (the late Larry) Williams, William (Barbara) Baur and Ted (Sharon) Baur; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Richard (Lorraine) Buntrock and Bob (Elinor) Buntrock.

Stanley Edward Sutor

Stanley Edward Sutor, a 30-year resident of Hermosa Beach, Calif., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.
Services and burial will be private.
Stanley is survived by wife, Carol Ruth of Hermosa Beach; his sons, Steven and David; daughter, Suzanne; and seven grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Stanley Sutor.
Born in Chicago, Ill., Stanley was 78 when he died. Stanley was a carpenter and worked in the real estate and construction industry throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman and sailor.

Funeral services for Margaret O. “Marge” Vogel, nee Musa, 87, formerly of Villa Park, were held Monday, Jan. 30, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mrs. Vogel is survived by her husband, Dr. Lawrence R. “Larry”; children, Craig (Debbie) Musa, Glen (Mary) Musa, Debbie (Richard) Plimmer and Lawton (Nancy) Vogel; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Musa.
