Manuel Alamillo

Manuel C. Alamillo, 94, of Villa Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, in Bloomingdale.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 18, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church, with the Rev. George Zieba officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Alamillo is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Abe, Laura (John) Vargas, Gloria Hernandez, Irma (Jesus) Rivera and Yolanda (the late Dennis) Hunt; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Jose (the late Josephine) Alamillo, Julia Alamillo, Pedro (Locardia) Alamillo, Anselmo (Eulalio) Alamillo and Lenardo (Maria Luz) Alamillo; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alamillo was born in Florence, Colo., and was a woodworker who made large-format studio cameras for Deerdorf and Sons.

Rose Saunders Behling

Rose Saunders Behling, nee Coghlan, 83, of Lombard, died Monday, Feb. 20, at Lexington Health Care, Lombard.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 23, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 24, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Behling is survived by her children, Edward, John, Bill (Laura) and Kathleen Camp; seven grandchildren; sister, Margaret Veron; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Saunders and Herman “Bud” Behling; son, Robert; and two sisters.
Mrs. Behling was a resident of Lombard since the mid-1960s. She had attended DePaul University, was a graduate of secretary school and earned her associate degree from College of DuPage. She had been a school secretary for Briar Glen School in Wheaton during the 1970s and had retired from Lucent in 1992 after 15 years of service as an administrative assistant.
Mrs. Behling had been a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital; enjoyed walking, gardening and reading; and was a former 35-year member of St. Pius X Church in Lombard.

Richard Brandeis Sr.

Richard Brandeis Sr., 87, of Lexington of Lombard, died Friday, Feb. 3, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
A visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove. Interment is private.

Robert Guth

Funeral services for Robert LeRoy Guth, 85, of Villa Park, were held Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Alexander Gathering Space in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Guth is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Mark (Therese), Matthew (Julie) and Joseph (Candy); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and was the brother of the late Renelda Guth.
Mr. Guth was a longtime member of the St. Alexander Church community.

John Huber

John “Jack” Huber died on Wednesday, Feb, 15, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 80.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 18, at United Methodist Church in Renwick, Iowa. Interment was at Vernon Township Cemetery in Rural Hardy, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Renwick; children, Vicki (Dale) McCuistion, Kenneth Huber, Bruce Passow, Barbara (Steven) Root, Brian (Dottie) Passow, Beth (Robert) Brown and Brenda Mailloux (Brad Prothe); 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Donald and Richard Kimbrel; and special family friends, Preston Alvadj, Andrew Maier, Valerie Kircher, and Gary and Connie Rowe. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Mr. Huber was born April 29, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to John and Mae (Smith) Huber. Jack graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago then worked for a short time in Chicago. He then entered the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. Following his discharge, Jack worked at the Arrow Equipment Co. as a construction equipment mechanic for 45 years. He was a 60-year veteran of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
On Aug. 24, 1974, Jack was united in marriage to Dorothy (Kimbrel) Passow in Villa Park, Ill. In 1993, Jack retired and the couple moved to Renwick in 1994 from Lombard, Ill. Jack enjoyed small-town living, enjoyed playing darts, dancing, semi-classical and polka music, roller skating, gardening, bird watching and building bird houses. Jack was “Mr. Fix-It” and kept his tools in an extraordinarily organized fashion. He also earned the nickname “Mr. OSHA,” as he was very conscientious about safety. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Renwick, and formerly a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Villa Park, Ill.

Lena O’Neill

Lena E. O’Neill, nee Romano, 90, of Lombard for 57 years, died Sunday, Feb.19, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Visitation will be today, Feb. 22, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, from the funeral home to St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment is at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.

Robert Sundahl

Robert K. “Bob” Sundahl, 54, of Elmhurst, died Saturday, Feb. 18.
A memorial service is being held today, Feb. 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Villa Park.
Mr. Sundahl is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Alexandria and Spencer; mother, Doris; was the uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many; was the best friend to Larry; and was the best buddy of Jersie and Preston. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sundahl.

Joseph Trotta

Joseph J. Trotta, 62, of Lombard, died Thursday, Feb. 16, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 20, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard. A committal service will be held at Elm Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Trotta is survived by his children, Joseph F. (Emily), Nicholas A. (Dayna) of Lombard and Andrea M.; two grandchildren; father, Jerry (the late Eleanor); sisters, Lorie (Jerry) Winkles, Marlene (Greg) Bates of Lombard, Roberta (Marty) Lacey and Marian (Sam) Parma; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and former wife, Susan A., of Lombard.
Mr. Trotta was the owner of Comp-Pro Services. He was a former auxiliary police officer in Villa Park for over 20 years and was an avid water and snow skier, boater and motorcycle rider. He loved to dance and laugh.
