Michael Amrhein
Michael Amrhein, 37, of Lombard, died Thursday, July 5, in Lombard.
Visitation and interment were private.
Mr. Amrhein was the husband of Jill; father of Alexis Joanne “Ally” and Michaela Frances “Ella”; brother of Sarah Amrhein; brother-in-law of Dan (Mary) Power and Sue (Ken) Kotelman; uncle of eight nieces and nephews; son of Thomas and Anne Amrhein; and son-in-law of Joan Lahey.
Mr. Amrhein was a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School and had attended the University of Notre Dame on a college scholarship. After graduating in 1997, he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 10th round and played six years in their minor league organization, eventually working his way up to AAA. He had worked in the Special Services department at Downers Grove North High School for six years and was an assistant varsity baseball coach.

Robert V. Bielski
Funeral services for Robert V. Bielski, age 82, were held Saturday, July 7, from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, to Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.
Mr. Bielski was the beloved husband of Anna, nee Jurzec; loving father of Mary Faber, Barbara Wood, Robert (Dawn), Jimmy, Christine Greve and Theresa (James) Jones; dear grandfather of 14; and great-grandfather of four.

Harriet Beverley
Visitation for Harriet Ann Glidden Beverley will be Friday, July 13, from 3-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. The funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 14, from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mrs. Beverley was the cherished wife of the late Thomas Albert; devoted mother of Michael (D’Anna), Patricia (Pat) Patterson, Bill (Ilene), Bob (Casey), Mary (Jim) Plew, Joan (Jim) Izzo, David (Kate), Dennis (Danae), Danny (Anne), Anne (Jim) Donnellan, Kevin (Barb) and Jim (Kathy); proud grandmother of 34 and fond great- grandmother of 24; loving sister of the late Benjamin Glidden Jr., Dodie (the late Norm) Henning and the late Jodie Rezab Hudgens; sister-in-law of the late Margaret (John) Tyne and the late Sister Louise Beverley O.S.P.; aunt, cousin and friend to many; and daughter of the late Benjamin and Leila Glidden.
Harriet was born in Oak Park in 1922, and was a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School (1940) and Triton College (1974). She was an LPN at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital from 1974-85, and was a longtime resident of Lombard; Bradenton, Fla.; Mayslake Village, Hinsdale; Sunrise Assisted Living in Naperville; and recently Lexington Healthcare in Lake Zurich.
Harriet was a Eucharistic minister, Meals on Wheels volunteer, member of the Third Order of St. Francis, election judge, Cub Scout troop leader, Maytag advertising pin-up, dinner incinerator, knitting instructor, geriatric bicyclist, soaper of mouths, dispenser of justice, inspiration of wit, antagonist of bigots, delight of caretakers and joy to her family.

John Boldiga
John W. Boldiga, 94, of Lombard, formerly of Maywood, died Saturday, July 7, in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Curtis Lambert officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Boldiga is survived by his children, Kathleen (the late Clarence) Kutella, Patricia (Gerald) Rymsza, Marian, John (the late Linda) and Barbara (Ricky) Lacovera; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen “Ellen”; and sisters, Jennie and Irene.
Mr. Boldiga was a veteran of World War II and had worked as a research technician for Sunbeam Appliances. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Christ the King Catholic Church; the Order of Alhambra; and Santiago Caravan #169.

David Christianson
David E. Christianson, 82, of Lombard, died Saturday, July 7.
A visitation and funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Mr. Christianson is survived by his wife of 57 years, MaryAnn Toonen; children, Diane (Rob) Clayton, Daniel (Jennifer) and Mary (Keith) Cox; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Christianson was born in Green Bay, Wis., and graduated in 1949 from West High School. He received a teaching degree from Algoma, Wis. After college he joined the U.S. Air Force, becoming a T/Sgt. with service in Vietnam. After a 25-year career he retired from the U.S. Air Force and worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago and Lombard.
Growing up in Green Bay, Mr. Christianson was an avid Packers fan. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV and being with family and friends. Burger King is going to greatly miss David Christianson.

Burrell Gluskin
Burrell J. Gluskin of Lombard, born Oct. 17, 1926, died July 6, 2012.
A memorial service is planned for a future date.
Mr. Gluskin is survived by six children and their families, including seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
John Mills
John G. Mills, 96, of Lombard, died Tuesday, July 3, in Lombard.
Family services are private.
Mr. Mills is survived by his sons, Gerald (Patricia) and Patrick (Mary Ellen) of Lombard; stepson, Norbert (Carol) M’Queen; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Mills was born in Canada, in Nova Scotia, and came to the United States in 1948 and Lombard, then Elmhurst, before returning to Lombard. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he was wounded and was a POW for 11 months. He landed on Juno Beach on D Day.
Mr. Mills retired from Painters Union Local #30 and was a member of the NRA.

Marcella Qualkenbush
Marcella M. Qualkenbush, nee Liszewski, 79, of Lombard, died Sunday, July 8, in Lombard.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Qualkenbush is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert A.; children, Stephen (Cheryl) and Beverly (Charles) Wilson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (George) Bauer; sisters-in-law, Janet Liszewski and Bonnie Liszewski; and brother-in-law, William Qualkenbush of Lombard. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta M. (the late Jack) Stahelin; and siblings, Richard and Nicholas Liszewski, and Jeanne Qualkenbush.
Mrs. Qualkenbush was a resident of Lombard for 50 years. She was a homemaker and was very active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and also had attended Christ the King Church.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
