Margaret Benhart

Margaret Benhart, nee Jung, formerly of Villa Park, died Wednesday, July 4, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Benhart was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Fred Jung; husband, Bill; and sister, Eleanore Wagner.
Mrs. Benhart was a graduate of York High School and raised two sons, Ronald (Becky) and Marvin (Rosalie) of Villa Park, where she and her late husband were active in Scouts, PTA, church and baseball. They were organizers of the Villa Park Little League, Pony and Colt leagues. In 1958 they moved to Palm Harbor, Fla.
Mrs. Benhart was a small but mighty lady with a heart of gold and endless energy. Loved by all, she was especially fond of children and took pride in her five grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Karolyn DeLeon

Karolyn DeLeon, nee Bodak, 73, of Lombard, died Monday, July 9, in Lombard.
A private memorial service will be held Sunday, July 22, in the Founders Room of the Morton Arboretum.
Mrs. DeLeon is survived by her son, Peter A. (Julie A.) of Lombard; two grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Darryl) Huber and Christine (Calvin) Blickle; brother, George Bodak; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. DeLeon was a retired 30-year employee of  Queen Bee School District 16 in Glendale Heights. She loved to travel and read, and had a passion for teaching children.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial fund to benefit the children’s section at the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library, 110 W. Maple St., Lombard, IL 60148, are appreciated.

Carol Hirman

Carol J. Hirman, age 72, of Lombard, Ill., passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. 
A memorial service is being held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at noon at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., (on block south. of Ogden Ave.), Downers Grove.
Ms. Hirman was the loving daughter of the late Melvin and the late Helen Hirman; dear sister of the late Mary (the late Donald) Dahlberg and the late Gloria Hirman; and loving aunt of Brian (Judy) Dahlberg, other relatives and many friends.

Howard Saxton

Funeral services for Howard A. Saxton, 83, of Lombard, formerly of Addison, were held Friday, July 13, at St. Alexander Church Gathering Space in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Saxton is survived by his wife, Helen L.; children, Marilou, Daniel H. and Gloria (Mario) Prieto; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Montague.
Mr. Saxton was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
