Pamela Bos

Pamela Bos, nee Gratz, 69, formerly of Villa Park died Monday, Sept. 10, in Proviso Township.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 14, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. Henry De Vries officiating. Inurnment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West.
Mrs. Bos is survived by her children, Tracy (Rod) Bruner, Dennis, Matthew (Julie) and Brian; three grandchildren; siblings, Lowell (Getty) Gratz and Norman Gratz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Brenda Swanson and David (Carolyn) Gratz.
Mrs. Bos had worked in customer service for the food industry.

Carol Coomans

Funeral services for Carol Ann Coomans, nee Donovan, 50, formerly of Villa Park, were held Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Alexander Church Gathering Space in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Ms. Coomans is survived by her mother, Rosemary; siblings, Susan (Terry) Kane, Daniel (Judith), MaryLou Dunkovich, James (Kathleen) and Thomas; and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis “Frank.”
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Advocate Hospice of Good Samaritan Hospital would be appreciated.

Susan Croll

Susan Croll, nee Donath, 65, of Marengo, formerly of Lombard and Wheaton, died Sept. 1.
Mrs. Croll was the beloved wife of Richard for 38 years; dear mother of Andrea; fond daughter of Marjorie Donath; and sister of Patricia (Harry) Stoll of New York and Craig (Jennifer) Donath of Lombard.
Susan attended Willowbrook High School and Northern Illinois University. She was a librarian in the Wheaton and Elgin school districts. She was an avid runner, and liked gardening and cooking.
Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Illinois.

June Priola

Funeral services and interment for June E. Cardenas Priola, 58, of Carol Stream, formerly of Hillside, were private.
Ms. Priola was the sister of Daniel (Rita), Joseph (Mary), and Michael; and aunt of six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Josephine Priola; and siblings, Robert and Susan Priola.

Marlene Rench

Marlene V. Rench, nee Lindsay, 78, of Lombard, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are being held today, Sept. 26, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mrs. Rench is survived by her husband, Ronald J.; children, Laura Birnbaum of Villa Park; Scott (Terri) of Lombard, Kevin (Jennifer) and David; eight grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Hinchee; and three nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rench was a resident of Lombard for 78 years. She attended Lincoln School and was a 1952 graduate of Glenbard High School. She was chairman of the Class of 1952 Reunion Committee.
She was a homemaker, former Lilac Princess, member of the Lombard Historical Society and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #391, and former Job’s Daughter, and was a seasonal resident of Gold Canyon, Ariz.

Betty Schacht

Funeral services for Betty Jean Schacht, nee Ebeling, 84, of Lombard, are being held today, Sept. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard. Interment is at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Schacht is survived by her children, David (Sara) Kuntze, Larry Kuntze, Bryan (Jane) Schacht and JoLayne (Daniel) Brei; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry (Dell) Ebeling.

William Swanson

A private interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood was held for William L. Swanson Jr., 83, who was a 56-year resident of Villa Park and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Swanson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois; children, Dawn (Edward) Matia, Karen (Frank) Mascarella and William L. III (Wendy); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Shirley Person, Ronald, Albert, Gordon, Don, Joan Denzine and June Holmes; and was the nephew of Erldeen Chentnick. He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Sr. and Ione Swanson.

Richard Sullivan

Funeral services for Richard J. Sullivan, 54, of Lombard, were held Saturday, Sept. 22, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Brian (Caroline), Jason and Jennifer; one grandchild; siblings, Michael, Tim (Val), Mary (Mike) Meranda, Dan (Donna), Willie (Jana), Katie Lantz, Maureen (Mike) Dvorak, David (Anna), Tina (Frank) DeLuca and Tommy; father- and mother-in-law, George and Joan Flinn; 39 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Sullivan.
