Helen P. D’Anza

Funeral services for Helen P. D’Anza, nee DePirro, 91, of Villa Park, formerly of Melrose Park, were held Thursday, April 11, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. D’Anza is survived by her children, Maria (Edward) Pindelski, Rosemary (Anthony) Calkins and Maryhelen (Richard) Eischen; 12 grandchildren; brother, Mario (Angelina) DePirro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and siblings Dan (Rose) DePirro and Pauline (Alphonse) Franch.

Barbara May Livermore

Barbara May Livermore, nee Beckman, age 79, a lifelong resident of Lombard, died April 14 in Lombard.
Visitation will be held today, April 17, from 2-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, with Mrs. Livermore lying-in-state from 10 a.m.until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
Mrs. Livermore is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Jack A., M.D.; children, Leslie (Dave) Knopp of Glen Ellyn, Jeffrey (Peggy) of Palatine, Martha (Mark) Cederblad of Lombard and Kevin (Molly) of St. Charles; grandchildren, Sarah Knopp of Los Angeles, Dr. Kristopher Knopp, M.D., of Chicago, Emily (Jeffrey) Whitis of Aurora, Jack Knopp of Lombard, Daniel Livermore of Palatine, Kelsey Livermore of Palatine, Molly Livermore of Palatine, Jenna Cederblad of Lombard, Thomas Cederblad of Lombard, Hanne Livermore of Campton Hills and Ella Livermore of Campton Hills; mother, Dorothy of Michigan and Florida and formerly of York Center; sister, Janice Capps of Elmhurst; brother Allen Beckman of Paw Paw, Mich.; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Al Beckman; and sisters, Marilyn and Carol.
Mrs. Livermore was born and raised in York Center, Lombard. She was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Grade School, a 1951 graduate of York High School and a graduate of Columbia College. She received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State and her master’s degree in education from National Lewis University.
Mrs. Livermore was a retired teacher and administrator for over 30 years, mainly at Green Valley School and C.A.S.E., (Cooperative Association for Special Education). She was the first female employee of the Lombard Park District. She was the Lombard Woman of the Year in 1983, was a member of the First Church of Lombard for over 50 years, where she was a former member of the choir and had served on the church council.
Mrs. Livermore had been active with the Lombard YWCA and the Tri-Town YMCA, had been active with the Lombard Historical Society and the PTA, was a member of the Illinois Teacher Association (ITA), had been active with the AAUW and a support group for Breast Cancer at the Wellness House in Hinsdale, and had been a caregiver to her parents, many aunts and uncles and many friends from York Center.

Christopher A. Meyer

Funeral services for Christopher A. Meyer, 43, of Lombard, were held Tuesday, April 16, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Zieba officiating. Interment was private.
Mr. Meyer is survived by his parents, John and Lynnette Meyer; brother, David (Patricia) Meyer; two nephews; aunts, Karen (Phil) Krystyan and Carole (Don) Lick; and was the cousin and friend of many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wesley and Wanda Falk and Richard and Veneita Meyer.

Mr. Meyer was born in Winfield and passed away in Chicago.

Marie E. Schmidt

Marie E. Schmidt, nee McCadden, 89, passed away April 13, 2013: beloved wife of the late Herbert; loving mother of Dr. Paul (Corinne) Schmidt of Peoria, Lynn (Sid) Camomile of Gilbert, Ariz., and Glen (Susan) Schmidt of Batavia; cherished grandmother of Kelli, Michael, Daniel and Nicole; and adored sister of Lillian McCadden and Dorothy (the late Bob) Broniszewski and the late Jack (Joanne) McCadden.
Visitation and funeral Mass were held Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Sacred Heart Monastery Chapel, 1910 Maple Ave., Lisle. Entombment was at Assumption Cemetery.
