Kenneth J. Josupait

Kenneth J. Josupait, 47, of Lombard, died Saturday, March 30, in Lombard.
Visitation and funeral services are being held today, April 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Patrick Boomhower officiating. Interment is at Bethania Cemetery.
Mr. Josupait is survived by his parents, George and Lydia Josupait; children, Nicole and Jarod; siblings, Edward (Sofia), Raymond (Peggy) and Mark (Samantha) Josupait; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Josupait had worked as an X-ray technician.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Mildred Marie Katek

Mildred Marie Katek, nee Matcha, 89, of Lombard, died Tuesday, March 26, in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 29, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. Joel Chrastka officiating. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Mrs. Katek is survived by her children, Pat (Frank) Weidner, Denise, Linda Blazer, James Jr. (Donna) and GeorgiAnne; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Joyce (Jerry) Hodges; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and brother, Joseph Matcha.
Mrs. Katek had done clerical work in communications.

John Lampa

John Lampa, 72, of Elmhurst, died Thursday, March 28 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, April 5, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.  Interment is private.
Mr. Lampa is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Dan and John (Kim); three grandchildren; and brother, Ed (Nancy).
Mr. Lampa was born in Chicago and was a longtime resident of Elmhurst.

Jason Mihalik

Jason Mihalik, 42, of Lombard, died Thursday, March 21, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 25, from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church, with the Rev. George Zieba officiating. Interment was private.
Mr. Mihalik is survived by his wife, Anne; parents, Edward and Joyce Mihalik; father- and mother-in-law, George and Angela; five cats and four dogs; brother, Edward (Kellie) Mihalik; sisters-in-law, Mary (Robert) Meehl, Donna (William) Paetzold and Margaret (Joseph) Kralicek; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mihalik was a business entrepreneur.

Renee Peters

Renee Georgette Peters, born Dec. 21, 1925, passed away peacefully on Jan 31, 2013. Loving wife of the late Donald Hugh Peters; beloved mother of Michele (Michael), Robert (Marsha), Linda (Craig), Lisa, and the late Neal; cherished grandmother of Leah, Erica, Nicole and Elizabeth; great-grandmother of nine.
Born in Sarreguemines, France, Renee married Donald, an American soldier in Europe at the end of WWII. She became a proud American citizen with enduring ties to her native France, where remain her dear sisters, cousins and families. During their retirement Renee and Don enjoyed researching Peters family genealogy. Renee was devoted to her large extended family of dear in-laws, nieces and nephews, as well as her treasured friends and neighbors who were so helpful to her, especially in recent years. Renee is also survived by her beloved cat, Bijoux.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, April 6, at 1 p.m., until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (three blocks south of Roosevelt Road) Lombard. Interment is private. For funeral information, call 630-932-1500 or visit www.knollcrest.net.

Carl P. Pfisterer

Carl P. Pfisterer, 81, of Lombard, died Monday, April 1 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst.
Visitation will be held today, April 3, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. Pius X Church, Lombard. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Pfisterer is survived by his wife, Joan M.; children, Janet (Tom) Van Winkle, Diane (Ron) Lindeen of Lombard, Karen (Don) Prentice of Lombard and Tom (Jan); seven grandchildren; brother, Herb; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James; and his sister-in-law, Carol Pfisterer.
Mr. Pfisterer was a resident of Lombard 47 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had retired from Local 21 Bricklayers Union.

Phyllis Venanzi

Phyllis J. Venanzi, nee Frost, age 82, of Villa Park, died Tuesday, March 26 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
All services and interment are private.
Mrs. Venanzi is survived by her sons, Mark C. (Deborah) and James (Kathy); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister; and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott; a daughter, Gail; and two brothers.
Mrs. Venanzi was a longtime resident of Villa Park.

George R. Williams

Funeral services for George R. Williams, 86, of Villa Park, were held Tuesday, April 2, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
