Mary Callahan

Mary C. Callahan, nee Cantu, 54, of Lombard, died Monday, Dec. 24, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 30, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. John Guiney officiating. Interment was private.
Mrs. Callahan is survived by her mother, Emma Cantu; husband, Christopher; children, Robert (Sarah) Maritato and Jason; two grandchildren; 12 siblings; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Cantu.
Mrs. Callahan was a teacher’s assistant in education.

Diane Stachowiak

A memorial Mass for Diane E. Stachowiak, 57, of Riverside, was held Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Alexander Gathering Space in Villa Park.
Ms. Stachowiak is survived by her siblings, Bruce (Julian) Stachowiak and Joyce Donelson; was the aunt of Steven, Philip and Jacob Stachowiak and Kate (John) Tyler; was the great-aunt of Teresa Tyler; and was the cousin of many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Stachowiak.
Memorials to St. Alexander School would be appreciated.

Gerald White

Gerald White, 83, of Lombard, died Thursday, Dec. 20, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 24, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Margaret M.; children, Ralph, Ron, Renee (Joe) Jakubik of Lombard, William Shaw, Michael (Joan) Shaw and Nannette Grist; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anita White; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva; second wife, Violet; and brother, Philip.
Mr. White was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a member and quarter master of VFW 5815, was a member of and had served as past president and secretary of the Oceanwaves Square Dancers since 1996, was an usher at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard and enjoyed traveling.
