Michael Bafundo
Michael Bafundo, 68, of Lombard, died Saturday, July 27.
Funeral services will be today, July 31, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
Mr. Bafundo is survived by his children, Ken Marron and Tracy (Johnny) Bafundo-Manning; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and longtime companion, Nancy. He was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin Lemke, Anthony Bafundo and Christopher Bafundo.
Mr. Bafundo was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a firefighter for the Leyden Township Fire Department from 1970-86. Mr. Bafundo was the owner of 1st Army Supply in Lombard for 31 years.

Judith Mae Doyle
Judith Mae Doyle, nee McGrath, 73, of Lombard, died Friday, July 26 at Sunrise Assisted Living.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 30, at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Interment was private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Mrs. Doyle is survived by her children, Laura (Peter) McCormick and John (Diana); six grandchildren; siblings, Jill (Timothy) Koch, Jane Hawkins, Joan (Clinton) Blick, Julie McGrath, Jeanne Wurtz, James (Kathleen) McGrath, John (Christine) McGrath, Jerold McGrath and Joseph (Heather) McGrath; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael P.; and brothers-in law, John Hawkins and Nicholas Wurtz.

Donajean E. Durkin
Donajean Elizabeth Durkin, nee Swartz, 86, of Lombard, died Thursday, July 25.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines.
Mrs. Durkin was the mother of Robert Jr. (Patricia Ann), Debra, Mark (Karen), Thomas (Sue), William (Gayle) and Joseph (Denise); grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of three; and sister-in-law to Judith Swartz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Durkin; son, James; and brother, Stanley Swartz.
Mrs. Durkin was a graduate of Wooster High School and Wooster College, class of 1948, with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, majoring in piano.

Nathan A. Lovik
Nathan A. Lovik, 24, of Lombard, died suddenly Monday, July 22, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Funeral Services were held Friday, July 26, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
Mr. Lovik is survived by his parents, Mark T. and Connie J.; siblings, Deborah (Donnie) McGuire, Joanna Lovik, Susanna Lovik of Lombard and Timothy Lovik of Lombard; and grandparents, Arthur and Jane Reum. He was the nephew of nine and uncle of three, and is survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lois Lovik.
Mr. Lovik attended Glenbard East High School from 2003-05. He was a member of the Madrigal Choir at Glenbard East and was in track and soccer at Glenbard East, and was in track at COD. He graduated from Escuela Caribe High School in the Dominican Republic in 2007 and was a member of the U. S. Marines Corps Reserves since May of 2009. He worked for Westmoreland Country Club in Waukegan. He also loved music and his dog, Otto.

Robert E. O’Connor, age 89, longtime resident of Villa Park, Navy veteran of WWII: beloved husband of Mary Theresa, nee Reilly, for over 63 years; loving father of Michael (Joan) O’Connor, Mary Therese (Jeffery) Scofield and the late Robert (Nancy) O’Connor; proud grandfather of Megan O’Connor, Katie (Ben) Kuehl, Trisha O’Connor and Alyson Scofield; and dear brother of Catherine (the late Harold “Bud”) Palm, Arlene (the late Tom) Loftus, the late Margaret (the late John) McNamara, Maurice “Bud,” Cornelius (the late Mary), William (the late Lillian), John (Polly) O’Connor and Mary (the late Edward) Lessman.

Jean E. Riddick
Jean E Riddick, nee Violante, 78, of Antioch, died Sunday, July 28, at Condell Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard. Interment is private at All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines.
Mrs. Riddick is survived by her children, Francesca-Cynthia Riddick and Kevin (Janet) Riddick; two grandchildren; siblings, Edward (Beverly) Badendick and Annette Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; and sister, Rose Bodnar.
Mrs. Riddick was a resident of Antioch for six years and was formerly of Park Ridge, Norridge, and Chicago for 30 years. She had retired from Vance Industries in Norridge.
