Richard Amelio Jr.

Richard L. Amelio Jr., 38, of Villa Park, died Friday, May 17 at Elmhurst Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Amelio is survived by his mother, Robin A. (Tony P.) Maro of Villa Park; father, Richard L. (Helen); grandmother, Zona C.; partner, Michelle Cruz; brothers, Anthony (Brenda) Maro, Andrew (Billie Jo) Maro and Frank (Anna); sisters, Donna (Richard) Sorensen, Laura Amelio, Natasha Amelio, Tori (William) Unger of Villa Park and Becky (Josh) Kwiatkowski of Villa Park; five nieces and six nephews; and was the nephew and cousin of many. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo W. Bujak.
Mr. Amelio was in the U.S. Coast Guard for eight years and the U.S. Navy for four years. He was one of the first responders with the Coast Guard during Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Amelio was a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Kevin A. Gleason

Funeral services for Kevin A. Gleason, 50, of Melrose Park, formerly of Lombard, are being held today, May 22, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment is private.
Mr. Gleason is survived by his children, Randy, Kevin and Kyle; siblings, Patrick (Deanna), Jack (Judy), Cheryl (Ken) Militello, Timothy (Paulette), Michael (Margaret), Donald (Vera), Dan (Martha) and Nancy (Don) Unger; and was the uncle and cousin of many. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elaine.

Antoinette Marabelli

A memorial Mass for Antoinette Marabelli, 88, nee Aiardo, will be held Saturday, May 25, at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard.
Mrs. Marabelli is survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; and siblings, Carmella (Nick) Viggiano, Lucy (Louis) Grande and Anthony (Lee) Aiardo.

Sharon Marozza

Sharon Marozza, nee Bendix, 74, of Villa Park, died Monday, May 13 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 17, at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Marozza is survived by her daughters, Cheryl L. (Ray) Theurer and Debra Marozza of Villa Park; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Mary Landa, Jessie Phelps, Betty Namie, and Peggy Mansberry; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Marozza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; and brother, Edward Bendix Jr.
Mrs. Marozza grew up in Lombard and was a graduate of Glenbard West High School. She was a resident of Villa Park since 1972 and was formerly of Lombard from 1946 to 1972. Mrs. Marozza was formerly a member of St. Pius X Church in Lombard and a current member of St. Alexander’s Church in Villa Park.  She had retired as a clerk for the City of Elmhurst in 2001.

Ronald Prete

Funeral services for Ronald P. Prete 63, of Oswego, were held Tuesday, May 21, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave, Villa Park. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mr. Prete was the husband of Diana; father of Tina (Scott) Proce, Albert, Fred (Nancy) Landmesser and Brandon Smith; grandfather of six; great-grandfather of two; brother of Dominic, Jeannie, Maria Elena, Marie, Robert, Virginia and Louis; and uncle and cousin of many.

Betty Wych

Mrs. Wych was the wife of the late George Sr.; mother of Linda Del Vescovo, George Jr. (Brenda), Kathy Yergin, Patrick (Laura), Cynthia (Vince) Notariano and the late Mary Ann Bahl; grandmother of 10; great grandmother of nine; sister of Jim (Jenny) Padgett; and aunt to many.
