Joseph K. Beaumont

Joseph K. Beaumont, 53, died Friday, April 11.
Funeral services are today, April 16, at St. Alexander Church gathering space in Villa Park. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Beaumont was the son of the late Fred and Mary; brother of Mary (Thomas) James, Frances (Thomas) Cleary and the late Frederick (Josefina); and uncle of many.
Mr. Beaumont’s longtime involvement in coaching youth sports in Oak Park and River Forest brought him much joy, especially soccer. In recent years he was known as “The Swami” of his fantasy football league, and was a lifetime Three Stooges devotee. He was a 30-year employee at Hines Veterans Administration.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Villa Park V.F.W. Post #2801 would be appreciated.

Pat Eagan

A memorial service for Pat Eagan, 68, of La Grange, formerly of Western Springs, will be held Saturday, April 19, at First Presbyterian Church of La Grange.
Mr. Eagan was the son of Virginia and the late James Eagan; brother of Jim (Carolee) Eagan and Mike (Sue) Eagan; uncle of Wes (Christine) Eagan, Tim (Dodi) Eagan, Erin Huber, Heather Watters and Meghan (Ryan) Schlifka; and great-uncle of nine.

J. Kevin Smith

J. Kevin Smith, 86, of San Diego, Calif., died Sunday, April 13, at Brighton Gardens in Wheaton.
Funeral services will be today, April 16, from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to St. Petronille Church in Glen Ellyn. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake.
Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Brian (Judy), Laura (Mark) Mitchell and Diane (Thomas) Stapleton; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Smith was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and graduated from Notre Dame in 1952. He was a member of the Republican Party. Mr. Smith was an examiner for the Malcom Baldrich Quality Award. He was vice president of product quality and reliability for International Harvester, now Navistar.

Henry A. Stankevitz

Henry A. Stankevitz, 91, of Lombard, died Wednesday, April 9, at his home (Beacon Hill).
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church Interment was at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
Mr. Stankevitz is survived by his children, William Stankevitz (Patricia), James Stankevitz (Kathryn Wilda) and Alan Stankevitz (JoAnn Hidaka); five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He is also survived by his sister, Edith Beverly (Leonard); and sister-in-law, Inez Ferrell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imelda; brother, John; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Mr. Stankevitz was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was a resident of Lombard for the past eight years and was formerly of Chicago. He was a printer/typesetter by trade for over 40 years. He enjoyed his retirement, taking many trips with Imelda, rock collecting and making gemstone jewelry, coin detecting with his brother John, and watching both Cubs and White Sox games on TV.
Mr. Stankevitz was always up for a good hamburger and a beer. He passed away peacefully on the night of April 9 but not before the “W” flag was raised over Wrigley Field.
