Robert T. Elz

Robert T. Elz, 76, of Lombard, died Friday, April 4, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held today, April 9, at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main St., Lombard, with a reception to follow.
Mr. Elz is survived by his wife, Linda R. Reid; children, Anna E. Elz, Susan K. (Robert E.) Carlson and Robert A. of Lombard; two stepchildren, Heather (Choukri) Mesli of Lombard and Bill (Heide) Reid; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Diana (Raymond) Compton and Ruth (Donn) Lyons. He was an uncle and great-uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte A.
Mr. Elz was a member of the Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs. He belonged to two bowling leagues. Mr. Elz was a member of First Church of Lombard.

Vivian R. Sisson

Vivian R. Sisson, nee Kalbfleisch, 86, of Villa Park, died Sunday, March 30, in Carol Stream.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 3, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Sisson was the wife of the late Edward “Jack”; mother of Diane (the late Chip) Kerry, Janet (John) Hegi and Marilyn (Larry) Halters; grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of 11; sister of Don (the late Joan) Kalbfleisch, the late Ken (Kay) Kalbfleisch and Dolores (Bill) Vorisek; and aunt of many.

Roy M. Winters

Roy M. Winters, 82, of Villa Park, died Saturday, April 5, in Villa Park.
A memorial service is being held today, April 9, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment is private.
Mr. Winters was the father of James T. (Kelly); grandfather of two; brother of Fred (Shirley), Ronald and Virginia Winters; and uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Michael Winters; and brother, William (Delores) Winters.
Mr. Winters was a retired police officer with the Elmhurst Police Department and was a U.S. Marine for 10 years. He was a past commander of the DuPage Marine Corps League, past commandant of the Detachment Marine League, a member of the Disabled Veterans Association, a member of VFW Post 2048, American Legion Post IHB Elmhurst and past president of the DuPage County Veterans Assistance Commission.
He was also past master of Elmhurst Lodge #941 AF&AM Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago; a member of York Rite, Wheaton; and a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
