Brian Bailey

Brian Bailey, 57, of Aurora, formerly of Lombard, died Friday, Aug. 15, at Northwestern Hospital.
Services will be private.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Janeen; and siblings, Cheryl (Merlin) Wessels, Karen (John) Sawicki, Ron (Carol) and Sandi (Rick) deLeon.

Linda M. Beckwith

Linda M. Beckwith, 62, of Wheaton, died Saturday, Aug.16.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, Aug. 22, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
A graveside service will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.
Ms. Beckwith is survived by her mother, Mary (James) Kenneavy; 10 siblings, James (Ruben) Beckwith, Arzie Beckwith, Patty Burger, Kathy Hicks, John (Jane) Beckwith, Sharyl (Dan) Toynton, Ken (Rebbecca) Beckwith of Lombard, Larry (Susan) Beckwith, Annie Militello (Tony Bahrs) and Cynthia (Scott) Picco; her longtime friend, Cindy Peebler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred James Beckwith.
Ms. Beckwith was born in Chicago and grew up in Villa Park. She was a graduate of Addison Trail High School. She was a CNA, Certified Nurse’s Assistant. She was a poet and a writer; and loved cats, animals and the elderly. She will be remembered for her loving and caring heart which touched so many.

Daniel Brown

Daniel Brown, 56, of Chicago, formerly of Lombard, died suddenly on Wednesday, Aug.13.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 17, at Lombard Bible Church, 111 S. Park, Lombard.
Mr. Brown is survived by his children, Matthew (Lisa Cline) and Nathan Brown of Lombard; sisters, Marilee (Danny) Beardon and Marcella Hughes; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brown grew up in Upland, Ind., where he graduated from Eastbrook High School. He received his college diploma from Taylor University and his MBA from University of Illinois in Chicago. Mr. Brown lived in Lombard from 1986 to 2008. He was a systems analyst with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange since 2007. Mr. Brown was an avid sailor and a tri-athlete.

Robert F. Finn

Robert F. Finn, 78, of Lombard, formerly of Westchester, died Friday, Aug. 15, in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19, from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church, Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Finn is survived by his wife, Diane Finn; sons Bob (Cindy) Finn, Larry (Laurie) Finn and Ed Finn; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Violet; and brother, John B. Finn Jr.

Edward G. Fink

Edward G. Fink, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 12.
A memorial service was held Friday, Aug. 15, at Glen Ellyn Bible Church, 501 Hillside Ave., Glen Ellyn. Interment was private.
Mr. Fink was the husband of Marilyn for 55 years; father of Lisa Westergaard and George Fink; grandfather of four; and was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy.
Mr. Fink was a 60-year member of ITU #16.

Margaret King

Margaret A. King, age 96, wife of William Hoeppner King, (1913-1997) passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in her sleep.
She is survived by daughters Patricia Anne (Brackney), Judith Allyn, and Margaret Jean (Taylor); Grandchildren William Roger Brackney and Ellie and Elizabeth Taylor; and Great Grandchildren Ruby Taylor, Lia Brackney, and Samantha Brackney.
As a graduate of the University of Chicago she provided leadership in the Lincoln School PTA, as a Village of Lombard Trustee, in Easterling management, and at Service Master in Downers Grove. She and Bill semi-retired in the Virgin Islands. They both worked and enjoyed the many tropical blossoms and fruit, the climate, and the Caribbean Sea. They finally fully retired in the Smoky Mountains of NC. She was much loved and will be well remembered and missed.

William J. Murphy

William (Bill) J. Murphy, 87, of Lombard, passed away suddenly August 6, 2014. He was married to his loving wife JoAnn Webb for 61 years.
He was born June 18, 1927. He lived in Glen Ellyn until age 16 and then moved to Lombard, where he lived for 71 years. He graduated from the original Glenbard High School. He signed up for the Navy at age 17 during World War II, stationed on the West Coast and the Pacific.
He attended the University of Illinois, studying engineering. He worked for the Association of American Railroads helping design bridges across the United States. He later was a co-owner of Case International Company, helping engineer deep foundation for large structures, including the John Hancock and Sears Tower skyscrapers.
He served on School District 44 as board president and was a member of the Lombard Jaycees. He enjoyed being an avid golfer, including multiple trips to Ireland with his golf group. He enjoyed traveling the country, including Alaska; Naples, Fla; and Door County, Wis. He always liked spending quality time with family and setting up family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his children, Pat (Dean) Van Clay, Mary (John Rankin) Murphy, all of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., John (Karen) Murphy and JoAnn Murphy, all of Lombard; four grandchildren, John (Rebecca), Alan (Stephanie) and James Murphy and Gillian Rankin; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Liam Murphy; and his sisters, Helen Bogie and Pat (Ron) Miller. Preceded in death by his sister, Joan Bierman.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Virginia A. Nayder

Virginia A. Nayder, nee Miller, age 85, of Lombard (resident of Lombard for 59 years). Beloved wife of 59 years to Bob. Loving mother of Linda Nayder. Dear sister of Robert (Carol) Miller. Fond aunt of many. Loving grandma of her dogs Cooper and Baxter. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 17th, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace. Allen Studzinski

Allen Studzinski, 54, of Lombard, died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 14, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.
Visitation will be held today, Aug. 20, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, with prayers from the funeral home to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment is private.
Mr. Studzinski is survived by his brother, Wesley of Lombard; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie and Stanley Studzinski.
Mr. Studzinski was a lifelong resident of Lombard. He had attended Westmore Grade School and Jackson Junior High School, and was a 1979 graduate of Willowbrook High School. Mr. Studzinski received his B.S. in Math Philosophy, Physiology, and Computer Science from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He attended various graduate schools and received his master’s degree in food nutrition. He had worked for 30 years for NOW Foods as a nutritionist. Mr. Studzinski loved computers, astronomy, science, math and the search for truth.

John S. Siwak

John S. Siwak, of Lombard, formerly of Elmhurst, died Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug.18, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. Siwak was the husband of the late Marilyn Siwak; father of Marilyn A. (William) Pierce, Melanie (Dudley) Elvery and the late Maureen (John survives) Sapinski; grandfather of seven; and uncle of many.

Dorothy Suszek

Dorothy Suszek, nee Kriss, 79, of Lombard, formerly of Norridge, died Friday, Aug. 15, at Sunrise Assisted Living.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 18, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Mrs. Suszek is survived by her husband, Justin “Lefty” Suszek; children, Laurel (Lee) Lesch of Lombard, Jeff (Jackie) of Lombard and Linda (Ron Paganucci of Lombard; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; sister, Barbara Miller; brother-in-law, Edward Czech; and sister-in-law, Irene Merkel. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Audrey Czech and Marilyn Malawski.
Mrs. Suszek was a resident of Lombard for one year and was formerly of Norridge 37 years. She was a graduate of Calvin Park High School in Chicago. Mrs. Suszek was a homemaker and had been married for 61 years.
