Betty L. Eissler

Betty L. Eissler, nee Poggendorf, 87, of Lombard, died Saturday, March 8, at Sunrise in Glen Ellyn.
Visitation and prayers were held Friday, March 14, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
Mrs. Eissler is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles; children, Mark (Laurie), Holly K. (Jeffrey) Given and Melanie (Thomas) Rottmann of Lombard; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Eissler was a resident of Lombard since 1953. She worked as secretary to the president at Charles A. Stevens. Mrs. Eissler also worked at Willowbrook High School and was a former volunteer secretary at St. Pius X Church. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sweet Adelines singing group.

Richard L. Iwicki Sr.

Richard L. Iwicki Sr., 81, of Villa Park, died Friday, March 14, in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18, from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Iwicki is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Richard L. Jr. (Carol), Pamela (Gary) Thomm and Karen (Greg) Flak; five grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anne Menolascino; and a niece and nephew.

Harold J. Kammes

Harold J. Kammes Sr., 91, of Villa Park, died Sunday, March 16, at Lexington of Lombard.
Visitation and funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment is private.
Mr. Kammes was the father of Jeff (Judy); grandfather of two; and great-grandfather of five. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarette M.; son, Harold J.; and brother, Donald Kammes.
Mr. Kammes was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a 65-year member of Local 501 Plumbers Union.

Donald Klimson

A memorial gathering for Donald Klimson, 81, of Lombard, will be held Saturday, March 22, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Interment is private.
Mr. Klimson was the father of Donna Skrzypek and Karen (Mike) Knopick; grandfather of two; brother of Joseph (Polly) Klimson, Leona (Tom) Myers and Marion Klimson; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johanne; and siblings, Tommy, Claire, Dave, Florence and Jimmy.

Emilio A. Perez

Funeral services for Emilio A. Perez, 17, of Villa Park, were held Friday, March 14, at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. He died Saturday, March 8.
Mr. Perez was the son of Al (Lauren); brother of Olivia and Johnny; grandson of Alberto and Martha Perez, and Jeffrey and Carole Reynolds; nephew of Dolly Alvarez, Vivian (Bill) Gagne, Jessie (Karen) Perez, Patty (Marty) Ferarrini and Melissa (Will) Morgan; and cousin of many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mona.

Stephen P. Ronzheimer

Stephen P. Ronzheimer, 94, of Little Falls, Minn., formerly of Lombard, died Sunday, March 16, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service was held Monday, March 17, at Little Falls Alliance Church in Little Falls, with the Rev. Steve Hammer officiating.  Burial was at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mr. Ronzheimer is survived by his children, Philip (Mary Ellen) Ronzheimer, William (Pamela) Ronzheimer and Kimberly Benson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances Ronzheimer; wife of nearly 64 years, Viola; and brother, Paul, and sister, Elizabeth and their spouses.
Mr. Ronzheimer lived in the Chicago area until he moved to Little Falls three-and-a-half years ago. He was a resident at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls.
Mr. Ronzheimer graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston on June 13, 1942, with a degree in electronic engineering. He worked at Hazeltine Research Inc. in Chicago for his entire career, starting as a junior engineer and finishing as president of the company.
The Ronzheimers were active in Lombard Bible Church. The hospitality they demonstrated in their home was a special ministry and blessed hundreds of people. Mr. Ronzheimer served in the church as an active teacher and leader, adding his spiritual wisdom to decisions made.

Harold C. Rubel

Harold C. Rubel, 93, of Lombard, formerly of Villa Park, died Monday, March 10, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, York Center, Lombard. Interment was at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Rubel is survived by his sons, John (Elaine), Robert (Linda) and Will; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 
Mr. Rubel was a resident of Lombard for 13 years and was formerly of Villa Park for 48 years.  He grew up on the North Side of Chicago and was a graduate of Lane Technical High School. He was a tool and die maker at Harrington & King Perforating Company in Chicago, becoming foreman of the department.  As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Villa Park, he served as chairman of the congregation, and was influential in forming a Boy Scout troop at the church, where he became the first scoutmaster and encouraged his two older sons to earn the Eagle Scout Award.

Mildred A. Styka

Mildred A. Styka, 89, of Villa Park, died Saturday, March 15.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18, at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mrs. Styka was the wife of Edward J. for 69 years; mother of David (Pamela) Styka, Phillip (Terry) Styka, Linda (Bill) Holley and Sylvia Styka (David Smith); grandmother of seven; and sister of Mabel Walters.

Alberta E. Tauscher

Alberta E. Tauscher, 62, of Wheaton, died Sunday, March 9, at Central DuPage Hospital.
A memorial visitation and service will be held Friday, March 21, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
Ms. Tauscher was the mother of Vince (Theresa Miller) Main; and sister of Edward (Sandy Uzarewicz-Stroh) Main.
Ms. Tauscher was retired from the Villa Park Police Department as a front office receptionist.
