Janet Ann Greer

Visitation and funeral services for Janet Ann Greer, nee Hoogstra, 77, of Hillside, will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Interment is private.
Mrs. Greer is survived by her children, Cindy (Dave) Pace of Lombard and Steve (Kelly) Greer; six grandchildren; and brother, Bob (Dorothy) Hoogstra. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and sister, Bernita Schoenwolf.
Mrs. Greer was a homemaker.

Kathleen M. Hanlon

Kathleen M. Hanlon, 62, of Springfield, formerly of Oak Park and Lombard, died Friday, Aug. 29, at Northwestern Hospital.
Visitation will be today, Sept. 3, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 4, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home to Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Lombard. Interment will be private.
Ms. Hanlon is survived by her mother, Margaret; brothers, Thomas J. II (Linda) of Lombard and James A.; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Ben) Radloff, Amy Hanlon of Lombard, Thomas III of Lombard, Tony of Lombard and James; great-nephews and great-niece, A.J., Jaxson and Audri; and aunt, Dolores Walsh. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. I.
Ms. Hanlon grew up in Oak Park and Lombard. She graduated from Glenbard East High School, where she was valedictorian of her class. She graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, moved to Springfield and worked as a computer programmer for the Keane Company. Ms. Hanlon loved animals and was very close to her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Humane Society are appreciated.

Coletta C. Novak

Coletta C. Novak, nee Gundlach, 83, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, at home with her husband of 61years and five children at her bedside.
Funeral services will be today, Sept. 3, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church, Lombard. Internment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Novak is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Gary (Marla), Nancy (Jim) Banner, Laura, Karen and Greg; four grandchildren; and brother Dr. Walter Gundlach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Cecelia; and brother, Raymond.
Mrs. Novak’s life was oriented to selfless loving service to her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a longtime volunteer for Meals On Wheels, bringing food to the home-bound, often staying to visit those in need of companionship and even preparing a needed meal. She also compassionately assisted in transporting people suffering with cancer to their treatments. She was an active member of Christ the King and St. John Vianney parishes.
Mrs. Novak was truly a follower of Christ in whom she placed her trust.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Catholic Relief Services would be appreciated.

Carol Seccombe

Funeral services for Carol Seccombe, nee Bacigalupo, 60, of Lombard, were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard. Interment was at Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Seccombe was the wife of John; mother of Katie (fiancé Mike Yahoudy); sister of Mary Edwards, Barbara Jirka, Robert Bacigalupo, Ricky Bacigalupo, Amy Elia, Betsy LaTour and John Bacigalupo; sister-in-law of Judy Rezek, Thomas Seccombe and Dennis Seccombe; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
