Virginia Fletcher

Virginia Fletcher, 88, of Watertown, Wis., went to be with the Lord on Aug. 7, 2015, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wis.
She was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Villa Park, Ill., to Howard Blosser Canfield and Martha Marie (Weaver) Canfield. She grew up in Villa Park, Glen Ellyn and Lombard, Ill. She married Fred Henry Fletcher in October 1948.
Virginia earned her GED while raising six children, and became a nurse’s aide and later a private duty nurse.
She accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 7. She and her husband were charter members of Central Bible Church in Aurora, Ill., and of Calvary Baptist Church in Geneva, Ill., where they ran the AWANA club for many years.
After retirement Virginia lived in Glen Ellyn, Ill., Batavia, Ill., Northfield, Minn., and Watertown, Wis. She was a resident of Heritage Homes Assisted Living in Watertown, Wis, where she was the unofficial “hugger.”
She is survived by five children, Michael (Dottie) Fletcher of Batavia, Ill., John (Marcella) Fletcher of Park Hill, Okla., Robert (Rebecca) Fletcher of West Chicago, Ill., Jody (Steven) Kibler of Watertown, Wis., and Carol (Eric) Andringa of Rochester, Minn.; 17 grandchildren, Michele Dierks, Jason Fletcher, Joshua Croson, David (Jessica) Kibler, Amanda (Adam) Stauffer, Allison Fletcher, Michael Fletcher, Michelle (Jonathan) Rehfeldt, Kathy Fletcher, Bethany (Jacob) Lingle, James Kibler, Laura Fletcher, Nathan Kibler, Jonathan Andringa, David Fletcher, Robert Fletcher, and Emma Andringa; and nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Benson, Jayme Benson, Erik Dierks, Joey Dierks, Ali Dierks, Sarah Dierks, Leah Stauffer, Liam Lingle and Hannah Stauffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Richard Canfield, David Canfield and Robert Canfield; sisters, Jeanne Balluff, Elizabeth Smith and Carole Axberg; a son, David Fletcher; a granddaughter, Lisa Appel; and a grandson, Robert Kibler.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Geneva, Ill. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles, Ill., at a later date.

Norvin F. Hackhel

Norvin F. Hackhel, age 87, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Aug, 4, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 11, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Virginia Lotz

Virginia “Ginny” Lotz, nee Carr, age 95, a longtime resident of Lombard, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, at her home.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 14, with Mrs. Lotz lying in-state from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 105 W. Maple, Lombard.
Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.
Mrs. Lotz was the mother of Sally (Lee) McClure and Ralph. She was the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of seven. Mrs. Lotz was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph.

Mildred J. Potas

Mildred J. Potas, nee Zamis, age 91, of Lombard, died Monday, Aug. 3, at her home.
