Raymond J. Andersen Sr.

Raymond J. Andersen Sr., age 88, of Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., passed away on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015.
Funeral services are being today, Feb. 11, 2015, with 9:30 a.m. prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park., to 10 a.m. Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Church, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.

Richard B. Maestro

Richard B. Maestro, age 67, of Lombard, passed away suddenly on Feb. 7, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be today, Feb. 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. His funeral service will be Thursday with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church, 1025 E. Madison, Lombard, for 10 a.m. Mass. A private entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Maestro is survived by his dear brothers and sisters, Toni (James) Michels of Genoa, Marianne (Larry) Brown of Carol Stream, Laurie (James) Bouchez of Genoa, and Bobby (Faith) of Lombard; loving nieces and nephews, Jimmy (Stacey), Brian (Melissa), Jackie (Brendan), Michael (Kiley), Lori (Michael), Joseph (Kelli), Cari (Tom), and Robin; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; dear nephew of Dora Luchesi; and many other relatives.
Mr. Maestro is preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Anthony Maestro, longtime Lombard residents.
Mr. Maestro had lived in Lombard since 1953. He was a graduate of St. Pius X Grade School and a 1964 graduate of Willowbrook High School. Mr. Maestro received his Associate Degree in Computer Science. He was a retired Computer Operator for Hines VA Hospital. Mr. Maestro was a former member of the Lombard Jaycees. He was a Charter Member of St. Pius X Church. Mr. Maestro was an avid bowler and loved the Blackhawks and White Sox.

Gary Lee Marshall

Gary Lee Marshall, 48, formerly of Lombard, Ill., followed the Lord’s call on Feb. 1, 2015, in Holly Springs, N.C.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary (Gerhardt). Mother Janet Marshall, great brother to Pam Smoot, Sandy Niemi and Barb Fairbairn. Brother-in-law to Bob Smoot, John Fairbairn, Dave Pendergast and the late Matthew Pendergast. He is the uncle to 9 nieces and nephews who will all miss him greatly.
Gary was the adored husband to Jean Pendergast and had four great kids, Cory, Kelsey, Jordan and Max. Mother-in-law, Ruthanne Pendergast and father-in-law, the late Robert Pendergast.
Gary grew up in Lombard, where he attended St. John’s Lutheran School and Glenbard East High School; and had worked for AT&T. He was an avid golfer.
After an accident in 2007, Gary remained very uplifting to all with his perseverance. He was such a proud father and great friend to many and lost his fight to the low oxygen levels and high CO2 levels in his body that had developed over seven-and-a-half years.
Gary was a fighter and did it with an upbeat attitude and always amazed everyone around him.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard.

Marguerite O’Leary

Marguerite “Peggy” O’Leary, nee Wettstaedt, age 67, of Lombard, died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Christ The King Church, Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.

Rose Ann Saeli

Rose Ann Saeli, nee Wenzel, age 99, of Addison, died Thursday, Feb. 5, at GlenOaks Hospital.
Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 11, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to St. Matthew’s Church, Glendale Heights for 11 a.m. Mass.

Amey M. Schweik

Amey M. Schweik, age 79, of Amboy, and formerly of Lombard, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Aperion Care in Amboy. She was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Flemingsburg, Ky., the daughter of Harlan and Lela (Christa) Phelps.
She graduated high school in Flemingsburg, and then later left for training in Chicago to begin a career in the airline industry. She had worked in many fields including Braniff Airlines in the 1960s, a Crossing Guard with the Berkeley Police Dept. in the 1970s, and also worked in various office settings with companies such as Itek Corporation, and Bekins Van Lines from the 1970s to the 1990s.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard.
Amey married Edward Schweik in Bellwood, on July 18, 1964. He preceded her in death April 17, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her 5 siblings Hank, Oral, Ronald, Elizabeth, and Betty.
Survivors include her children Karla (Pete) Krull of Amboy, Valerie (James) Eubanks of Flemingsburg, Ky., and Guy (Dora) Schweik of Sugar Grove; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services were held on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1165 S. Westmore-Meyers Road in Lombard, with the Rev. Patrick Boomhower officiating. Private burial of cremains will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. A memorial has been established to Trinity Lutheran Church. Robert “Bobby Ray” Wojkovich, age 22, of Lombard, died Feb. 2.
