Mostiola Iraola

Mostiola Adriatico Iraola, nicknamed “Cholie,” passed away on Wednesday, July 8, in Fresno, Calif.
Visitation is Friday, July 17, 3-9 p.m., at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road (three blocks south of Roosevelt), Lombard. The funeral is Saturday, July 18, 10 a.m. from the funeral home to Christ the King, Lombard, for Mass at 11 a.m.

Jerrold A. Joelson

Jerrold A. Joelson, aka Jerry-Al, a resident of Lombard, formerly of Elk Grove Village, passed away on July 9, 2015, at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights. He was born on June 4, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in Cicero, Elk Grove Village and most recently Lombard.
Beloved husband of the late Grace, nee Ashford, and the late Barbara, nee Shure. Loving father of Martin, Daniel, Helene (Charles) Olsen, Craig (Dianne) Becker and Steven. Cherished grandfather of five. Great-grandfather of one. Dearest brother of Philip (Doreen). Uncle and great-uncle of many. Beloved friend of Frank and Geraldine Cvach and adopted uncle to the entire Cvach family.
Jerrold was a member of the Army Air Corps. He had a remarkable work ethic and tried many different ventures (flooring, drive-ins, a café) before settling on his love of the carpet industry, where he worked in many different capacities until his retirement.
Jerry was an exceptionally generous man who lived his life with strong values. He loved to joke with people and share his knowledge and experiences with everyone. He was a collector of just about anything and everything. Jerry lived to go shopping and could hunt down a good deal on any given day.
He loved his coffee, a rare steak, good seafood and Jewish cuisine. Jerry also loved his Corvettes and to spoil any pet he came across. He never met a child he didn’t like. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be today, July 15, 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will be private.

Marilyn A. Konwinski, nee Stoltman, age 75, of Chicago and Glen Ellyn, died Wednesday, July 8, at Rosary Hill Home, Justice, Ill.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, with prayers from Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park, to Mass at St. Pius X Church, Lombard.

Darlyne ‘Dolly’ Schmidke

Darlyne “Dolly” Schmidke, nee Warner, of Lombard passed away July 9 at her home.
Her funeral service will be today, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mrs. Schmidke is survived by her loving children, Deborah (James) Junta of Wheaton and Pamela Schraag of Villa Park; her cherished grandchildren, Terry (Krista) of Bartlett, Jamie (Jared) Shamblin of Plainfield, Katherine (Jon) Fox of California, Jacqueline Junta of Florida and Anthony Junta of Wheaton; her dear great-grandchildren, Eli, Eddie and Savannah; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Schmidke was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edmund.
Mrs. Schmidke graduated from high school in Chicago. She was a resident of Lombard for 63 years. Mrs. Schmidke worked for Merl Drugs. She was a former member of VFW #5815 Auxiliary. Mrs. Schmidke was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Lombard.

Roberta L. Treasurer

Roberta L. Treasurer, nee Wilhelm, age 62, of Lombard, died Saturday, July 11 at her home.
Visitation will be held today, July 15, from 3-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S.Main St., Lombard.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 16, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment is later at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
Mrs. Treasurer is survived by her husband, Bill J.; three children, Jeanne of Pennsylvania, Paul (Julie) of Georgia and Laura (Zach) Berkley of Moline; four grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Liam and James; four brothers and sisters, Michael (Dana) Wilhelm, Nancy Hight, John (Genie) Wilhelm and Joseph (Mary) Wilhelm; her brother-in-law, Bob (Brenda) of Willowbrook; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Henry) Erbach of Elmhurst.
Mrs. Treasurer was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and June Wilhelm.
Mrs. Treasurer was a resident of Lombard for 40 years. She grew up in Milwaukee and St. Louis and graduated from high school in St. Louis. Mrs. Treasurer was a graduate of the Missouri School of Mines with a B.S. in Chemistry. She had worked for District 88 for 19 years and retired five years ago. Mrs. Treasurer was a former member of the Lombard Jr. Woman’s Club. She was an avid bridge player, gardener and cook. Mrs. Treasurer had been active at Sacred Heart Church.

James E. Wiedemann

James E. Wiedemann, age 80, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Friday, May 1, 2015.
James was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Chicago, Ill., to Emil Wiedemann and Marguerite (Snow) Wiedemann. James served our country aboard the USS Wisconsin and was a faithful member of the USS Wisconsin Association.
James worked for the Texaco Corporation for over 26 years where many lifelong friendships were made. He served as past president of the Texaco Retirees Club. In his spare time he loved collecting Texaco memorabilia and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
James is survived by his wife, Susan (Kelly) Wiedemann; his children, Robert (Christine) Wiedemann, MaryBeth (Eric) Rosell, Thomas (Cyndi) Kapla, Robert Kapla and Donald (Kristi) Kapla; his grandchildren, Barry, Nickolas and Hannah Wiedemann, Benjamin and Helen Rosell and Holly, Thomas, Donald III and Payton Kapla; and his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kenleigh Kapla and Isabella and Ava Pacheco.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 1-4 p.m. with a chapel service at 3 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road at Essington, Joliet, Ill.
