Thaddeus M. Mrazek

Thaddeus “Ted” M. Mrazek, age 92, of Lombard, passed away April 28 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 3, from 2-7 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral prayers were held Monday, May 4, from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 114 S. Elizabeth, Lombard. Interment followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Mrazek is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia, nee Shead; his four children, Kathleen (Robert) Davis, Charlene (Davin) Meiners, William (Ellen) Mrazek and Janet (Christian) Pavlas-Wegener; eight grandchildren, Jon (Alysse) Meiners, Steve Meiners, Jeff Meiners, Cpl. Kyle Mrazek, Erin Mrazek, Megan Mrazek, Mitchell Pavlas and Ali Wegener; and one great-grandchild, Nathan Meiners.
Mr. Mrazek is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Katherine Mrazek; two sisters in America, Betty (Phil) Pokornowski and Estelle (Joseph) Wincek; one infant grandchild, Sarah Ellen Mrazek; and three adult sisters and one infant brother in Poland.
Mr. Mrazek served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from International Harvester in 1986 after 45 1/2 years.
