Geoffrey S. Gluskin

Geoffrey Samuel Gluskin, age 61, a resident of Lombard for over 40 years, died Oct. 22, 2015, at Seasons Hospice, Naperville, Ill.
Geoffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Burrell and Mercia (Holt) Gluskin; and his identical twin-brother, David Gluskin.
He is survived by his sisters, Deidra Egan, Lisa Gluskin, Gina Conrad (Mark) and Aimee Townsend (Larry); as well as four nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Known to close family and friends as “Sammy,” Geoffrey enjoyed gardening, model-railroading and cooking, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was a Volkswagen car salesman for many years. Both he and his brother were 1971 graduates of Glenbard East High School, where their passion for playing and performing jazz music was fostered; Geoffrey on flute, saxophone and piccolo, and David on trombone.
Interment private with no services planned.

Fred L. Hennings

Fred L. Hennings, age 83, Korean War Veteran, of Lombard, Ill., formerly of Oak Park, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, from 3-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, Ill. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home.
He was the beloved husband of Suzanne, nee Whitcomb. Loving father of Denise (Victor) of San Diego, Calif., David (Allison) of Oak Park, Ill., and Dean (Stacy) of Warrenville, Ill. Dear grandfather of Matthew, Andrew, Bailey, Amanda, Joshua and Owen.
Fred was born on Dec. 27, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to the loving late parents, Frederick W. and Beatrice Sobotka. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Finance and Business. Fred was on the Oak Park YMCA board for many years, a member of Kiwanis International, Oak Park Pony League and the vestry of Grace Episcopal Church, Oak Park, Ill.
