Visitation and services were held Tuesday, Sept 1, 2015, at Community Congregational Church, 410 S. Cornell, Villa Park, Ill. Interment was at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.

Charles “Chuck” Logan Geigner, 67, of Bloomington, died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at his residence.

Norma Marie Karasek

Norma Marie Karasek, nee Steben, age 92, of Villa Park, died Sunday, Aug. 30, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of the late Richard Karasek. Loving mother of Keith (Daphne), Linda (Gary) Mader, Nancy (Michael) Gorski, Susan (Roger) Wahl, Joyce Aschermann and Mark (Ruth). Dearest grandmother of Eric (Bailey), Brett, Krista, Wendy, Rachel and Heidi Mader; Matthew and Bethany Wahl; Cole and Drew Aschermann; and Arthur, Arbie, Gideon and Estefani Karasek. Fond sister of Mildred (Walter) Knosher, Lorraine (George) Johnson, Elroy (Betty) Steben, Arnold (Marilyn) Steben and Harold (Jean) Steben. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Karasek was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of York Center Lombard. She lived her entire life in the Lombard and Villa Park area, attending Trinity Lutheran School and York High School. Mrs. Karasek worked 10 years in the Merchandise Mart for Johns Manville before marrying and raising her family.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 4, from 2-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, with Mrs. Karasek lying in-state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, York Center, Roosevelt and Meyers roads, Lombard.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran School, Roosevelt and Meyers Roads, Lombard, IL 60148, would be appreciated.

Ronald Joseph La Porta

Ronnie was born June 20, 1966, and went to live with our Lord on Aug. 31, 2015, at 3 a.m. from Alexian Brothers Hospital. Ronnie suffered a massive stroke.
His father Ron Sr. preceded him in death and is survived by his mother Faye La Porta; sister Liz La Porta and his brother Tom (Lisa) La Porta; and his dear twin niece Annabella and nephew Luca La Porta; also by his aunt Barbara (Tony) Gusich, aunt and godmother Celia Okhurysen; and many cousins and friends. He also was preceded in death by his dear aunt Toni Martinez. Dear godson of Santo (Josephine) Gentile.

Richard E. Wagner

Richard E. Wagner (“Dick”), 89, of Lombard, passed away on Aug. 22, 2015. Husband of the late Florence, nee Perry. Father of David (Mary), the late Daniel, the late Scott and Tom. Grandfather of Robert, Danny, Aubrey, Zach, Jessie, Jeremy and Ryan. Great-grandfather of Josh, Kailyn, Mackenna and Savannah.
Richard was a proud veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict. He worked as a tool and die maker and designer. He was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital. He loved jazz music and played drums in various bands for years.
A memorial visitation will be held at the First Church of Lombard (Maple Street Chapel) today, Sept. 2, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. A service will begin at 6 p.m.

Lillian Marie Waterloo

Lillian Marie Waterloo, age 93, of Sycamore, Ill., formerly of the Chicagoland area, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at The Grove of Fox Valley in Aurora, Ill. She was born on June 27, 1922, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Donato and Theresa (Grippa) Dores.
Lillian was united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1945, to George Waterloo and they spent the next 56 happy years together until his passing on March 13, 2003. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family.
She is survived by her two children, David (Jeanne) Waterloo of Lombard, Ill., and Patricia (Warren) Hestekin of Sugar Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donato and Theresa Dores; her husband, George Waterloo; and three sisters, Marie Dores, Sylvia Olsen and Gladys Healy; as well as her niece, Barbara Bohannon.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept, 3, 2015, at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, Ill. Interment will take place at a later date in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sycamore, Ill.
