Kathleen Huskey

Kathleen Huskey, nee Krieg, age 55, of Lombard, died Sept. 28 at Community Hospice, Naperville, Ill.
Visitation will be held today, Sept. 30, from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is private in Newberry, S.C.
Mrs. Huskey is survived by her son, Joshua (Monica) Huskey of Naperville; her daughter, Corianne Huskey of Lombard; her brother, William (Linda) Krieg of Virginia; and her niece, Danielle (Justin) Hardesty of Downers Grove.
Mrs. Huskey grew up in Lombard and was a graduate of Hammerschmidt Grade School, Lombard Junior High, and class of 1978 from Glenbard East High School. She had worked as a Service Representative for Waste Management from 2001 to 2014. Mrs. Huskey was a member of the Lombard Historical Society, the World Wildlife Federation, the National Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club and the National Geographic Society. Kathleen’s hobby was Pandas.

Charles J. Johnson

Mr. Charles J. Johnson, 87, of Knoxville, Ill., formerly of Lombard, Ill., died 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Ill.
He was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Kilbourne, Ill., to Frank and Elsie Blanchard Johnson. He married Leila Jean Ruhrseitz June 19, 1954, in Lombard, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susie (and Bill) Bates of Gilson, Ill., and Linda Johnson (and Trena McDaniel) of Lake Zurich, Ill.; his brother, Bernard (and Delores) Johnson of Camdenton, Mo.; two grandchildren, Brian (and Sara) Bates and Jennifer (and Israel) Granillo; and a great grandchild, Alex Granillo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Juanita Sheehan and Frieda Johnson.
Charlie was a bricklayer for D.H. Johnson in Villa Park, Ill., for 48 years and retired in 1996. He served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville, Ill. He was a volunteer fire fighter in Lombard for over 25 years and retired as captain in 1975. Charlie was a devoted family man and enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was an avid golfer.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Michel Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Ill, with military rites. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today, Sept. 30, 2015, at the chapel.

Mary M. Nordby, of Villa Park, lll., passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.

Barbara E. Sharon, 68, of Lombard, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.
