Lynn M. Apponi

 

Lynn M. Apponi, nee LaBellarte, age 64, of Lombard. Beloved wife of Ron Apponi; loving mother of George (Jessica) Kosmach; dear daughter of Joseph and Lorraine LaBellarte, nee Hopkins; devoted grandmother of Joseph and Ian Kosmach; fond sister of Joann (Will) Venable and Donna LaBellarte; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Special education teacher in the Villa Park school district for over 24 years.

Visitation Friday, Aug. 5, 3-9 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road (3 blks. S. of Roosevelt Rd.) Lombard. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 a.m. Prayers from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church; Mass, 10:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Diane M. Jeffrey

 

Diane M. Jeffrey, age 70, of Lombard, Ill., passed away on Thursday, July 28.

Memorial visitation is today, Aug. 4, 3-8 p.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, Ill.

 

Rose A. Merrick

 

Rose A. Merrick, nee Stasiak, age 96, of Lombard, passed away July 30 at Beacon Hill Healthcare.

Visitation was held Tuesday with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. John the Apostle Church, 330 N. Westmore, Villa Park. Interment will be private on Friday at Assumption Cemetery.

Mrs. Merrick is survived by her loving children, Joyce (Frederick) Walter of Bloomingdale and Linda Behnke of Spring Valley; her grandchildren, Scott W. of Plano, Texas, Kimberly W. (Michael) Fugarino of St. Charles, Joseph (Karoline) Behnke of Joliet and Brian (Angela) Behnke of Romeoville; her great-grandchildren, Nathan, Colin and Donovon; and her sister, Irene Lewand of Norridge. Mrs. Merrick was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G.

Mrs. Merrick was a resident of Lombard for 68 years. She was a Charter Member of St. John the Apostle Church. Mrs. Merrick was also a member of the Lombard Woman’s Club.

Cecilia Rita Putz

 

Cecilia Rita Putz, nee Laketek, at peace July 28, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Norbert Francis Putz. Loving mother of Ken (Mary) Marshall, Kristine (Jeff) Vann, Rosanne (late Frank) Linden, Patti (Mark) Jensen, Michael (Patricia) Vanhal and Connie (Dr. Fran) Kania. Dearest grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 11. Dear sister of the late Mary (Roman) Binder, late Anne (Dominic) Kment, late Father Victor Laketek, O.S.B., late Father Gilbert Laketek, O.S.B. and the late Sister Celine Laketek, O.S.B.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 3, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park, Ill. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.

Cecilia retired from Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, was a member of Lombard Senior Choir and a longtime active parishioner at St. Alexander Church.

David T. Wildey

 

David T. Wildey, age 71, of Naperville, Ill., and longtime resident of Lombard, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born in DeKalb, Ill., on May 11, 1945. He was a highly decorated platoon Sergeant in the United States Army, and served his country during the Vietnam War.

David is survived by his loving wife: Janelle (nee Carpenter) Wildey; his children: Sman Soh, Ken Kennedy, Michael (Jamie) Browning, Kurt (Catina) Browning, and Stacey (Michael) Veseling; grandchildren: Brittiney, Courtney, Rachel, Douglas, Danielle, Aidan, and David; great-grandchildren: Ajna and Arijah; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Esther (Thorne) Wildey; and his daughter: Sharron Wildey.

Services were held last week. Arrangements by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory.
