Kathleen M. Jakubowski

Kathleen M. Jakubowski, nee McKenney, of Carol Stream, formerly of Lombard, passed away Feb. 7 at her home.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 11, from 3-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral Services will be Friday with prayers at 9:15 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to St. Michael Church, 315 W. Illinois, Wheaton, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children, Julie Jakubowski of Chicago and Casie Stuart of Orland Park; and her cherished siblings, Maureen Cox of Wheaton, Kevin (LynnAnn) McKenney of Florida, Eileen (Mitch) Meyer of Winfield, Ann (Fred) Becker of Poplar Grove and Mary (Ken) Kwasny of Mokena.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Seward McKenney and Jean, nee Halm; and a nephew, Sean F. Meyer.
Kathleen grew up in Lombard. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1976. She went on to attend Monmouth College. Kathleen was an office manager for NuComfort Supply Inc. in Glendale Heights for 10 years. She had lived in Carol Stream for the past nine years.

Sandra Gale Kusch

Sandra Gale Kusch, nee Wesolowicz, age 50, of Wood Dale, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, at her home.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 8, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be today, Feb. 10, at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Angelo C. Magnavite

Angelo C. Magnavite, age 79, of Lombard. Beloved husband of Joan E. Magnavite, nee Eckstrom; loving father of Lynne (Jack) Van Dyke, Laura (Kenneth) Wendorff and Brian Magnavite; devoted grandfather of Graham and Aubrey; fond brother of Frank (Joan A.) Magnavite; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Devoted educator and “Señor” to many students at Bowen and Calumet high schools.
Memorial Mass Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard. Memorial gathering and luncheon immediately following Mass. Louise Shannon

Louise Shannon died Feb. 8, 2016. Private services and internment will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Ron) Carns; two sons, Randall (Toni) and Michael (Laura); three grandchildren, Tamatha, Amanda and Jonathan; and six great-grandchildren, Sean, Keely, Liam, Sophia, Amarah and Adelle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrel; two sisters; and a brother.
Mrs. Shannon was a resident of Lombard since 1954. She was a charter member of VFW Post 5815, a member of the Lombard Historical Society and an avid crafter.

Henry Wolt

Henry Wolt, 88, longtime resident of Lombard and formerly of Downers Grove, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Artisan Senior Living in Lake Geneva, Wis.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln St. in Lombard in February.
Mr. Wolt is survived by three children, Robert Wolt of Downers Grove, Lillian (Ronald) Blake of Lombard and Claudia (Donald) Germann of Lake Geneva, Wis.; and a granddaughter, Kylie Germann. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Alfred and Gustav; his parents, Eduard and Justine; sister and brother-in-law, Adele (Wilhelm) Degenhardt; and former wife, Esther Wolt, nee Mattivi.
Henry was born Sept. 26, 1927, immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1952 and married Esther Mattivi in 1954. Henry had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for many years. Some of Henry’s happiest memories are of the time he spent on his tree farm in Wisconsin. He also enjoyed reading, especially about history, and playing chess.
Memorials can be made in Henry’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard, Ill.
