LaVerne G. Miller, nee Mattes, age 85, of Lombard over 60 years, died June 10 at her home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Ill.

Maureen Mulvey

 

Maureen Mulvey, age 78, of Lombard. Lifelong companion of the late Thomas Loftus, CFD; fond sister of Rosemary (the late Joseph) Williams and Judy (Roger) Reeder; aunt of Mary Tully, Tim (Roberta) Williams, Eileen (Robert) McWeeney, Dan Williams, John (Kathy) Reeder, Sue Overton, Julie Reeder and Patti (Dan) Heisen; and great-aunt of many.  Dedicated FBI employee for over 45 years.

Visitation is today, June 15, 3-9 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road (3 blocks south of Roosevelt Road), Lombard. Funeral  services are Thursday, June 16, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Janice L. Rowe

 

Janice L. Rowe, nee Englund, age 78, at rest June 9, 2016. Mrs. Rowe was a beloved elementary teacher in the Villa Park, Ill., School District 45 for many years. She was an active member of the Community Congregational Church and a dedicated volunteer in her community.

Beloved wife of the late Keith Rowe; loving mother of Gregory Rowe; and stepmother of Douglas (fiancée Merry Higgin), Mark Rowe and Cora (Steven) Swansen; dear sister of the late Walter Englund, the late Virginia (the late Daniel) Marquardt and the late Gladys (the late Harold) Reinbold; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are today, June 15,  11 a.m., at Community Congregational Church of Villa Park, 410 S Cornell Ave., Villa Park. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West.

Ralph G. Ryan, M.D.

 

Ralph G. Ryan, M.D., age 91, formerly of Elmhurst, currently of Naples, Fla.; beloved husband of the late Katherine K. Ryan, nee Kerwin; loving father of Ralph G. (Denise), Edward M. (Mary), Cecilia R. (Carl) D'Acquisto, Kathleen M. (Joseph Vallely), Mary D. (Thomas) Morin, Joseph K. (Jessica), Paul D. (Julia) and Elizabeth R. (Burk) Murray; proud grandfather of 33; great-grandfather of 44; and dear brother of Maryjeanne (Richard) Burke and John (the late Mimi) Ryan.

Ralph was the founding partner of RPW Obstetrics and Gynecology. He joyfully practiced medicine with John Picchietti and the late James Watts. He would go on to participate in the deliveries of over 8,500 babies at Elmhurst Hospital until 1984.

John M. Stancy, age 89, of Lombard, died June 10 at Hearthstone Manor, Woodstock, Ill.
