Steven R. Clinton

Steven R. Clinton, age 52, of Lombard, passed away Saturday, March 12, at his home.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, March 18, from 4-7 p.m. in Hatfield Hall at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main St., Lombard.

Audrey Catherine Iannelli

Audrey Catherine Iannelli, nee Harrington, 89, of Lombard, Ill., died at her home March 7, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. CT Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Calvary Episcopal Church, 150 W. Maple St., Lombard, Ill., with the Rev. Emily Mellott officiating.
Audrey was born to Charles and Goldia (Grant) Harrington in Lakeside, Mich., in January 1927. She married Orlando Iannelli in December of 1950. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Audrey was a lifelong resident of Berrien County, Mich., graduating from New Buffalo High School. After beginning her married life in Benton Harbor, she and Orlando moved to their newly-built home in Hagar Shores in 1956, where she remained until 2007.
Audrey was an active homemaker, mother and member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in St. Joseph, Mich. She had fond memories of serving the church on the vestry as well as serving as an altar guild, lector, lay eucharistic minister, running the annual Hadley pottery sale and organizing funeral luncheons.
Audrey loved swimming in “her” lake and walks on the beach. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. After moving to Lombard, Ill., in 2007, Audrey joined Lombard’s Calvary Episcopal Church, and enjoyed attending her grandsons’ high school concerts and plays.
She was blessed to have a loving caregiver during her final years, Ludmila Virvica of Chicago.
Audrey is survived by her sons, Fred of Amherst, N.H., Grant (Mary Jo) of Lombard, Ill., and Philip (Heidi) of Wilmington, Del.; her grandchildren, Kate and Kris Iannelli of Wilmington, Del., Mark and Eric Iannelli of Lombard, Ill., and Jessica Morrey of Waco, Texas; and her sister, Carol Evans of Cumming, Ga.
In addition to her husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan (Tim) Morrey of Flower Mound, Texas.

James A. Lucas Jr.

James A. Lucas Jr., age 72, Vet USMC Vietnam, of Wheaton, formerly of Lombard, Bloomingdale and Westmont, passed away March 12 at Edward Hospital.
Visitation will be held today from 4-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral Services will be held Thursday with prayers at 9:15 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to St. Michael’s Church, 315 W. Illinois, Wheaton, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Lucas is survived by his sister, Patricia (David) Colburn of Charlotte, N.C.; his brother, Richard (Pat) Lucas of Addison; his two sons, Kevin and Keith; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Lucas attended Farragut High School in Chicago. He was in the Marine Corps 3rd Recon from 1961-65 and in the Reserves until 1967. Mr. Lucas served in Vietnam in 1962. He was also stationed in Cuba and the Philippines. He owned Lombard Barber Shop from the late 1970s until he sold it in 1992. Mr. Lucas then worked for King’s Barber Shop in Wheaton from 1993 until the present.
He served as the past chairman for the Westmont Planning and Zoning Committee for 11 years. Mr. Lucas was a member of the VFW #2164, the American Legion # 0556, the DuPage U.S. Marine Corps League, and LOOM #1535 of Downers Grove. He was also a member of Veterans Assistance Commission of DuPage County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to DuPage County Marines in Wheaton, Ill., are appreciated.

Mildred J. McEvoy

Mildred J. McEvoy, nee Braasch, age 89, of Lombard, passed away Monday, March 14 at her home.
A brief visitation will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 9:45 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, proceeding to St. Matthews Church for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Mary Jenneine Rowley

Mary Jenneine Rowley, nee Weber, age 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 8.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 15, at Lombard Church of the Nazarene, 536 N. Columbine, Lombard. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.

Mercedes Mary Vance

Mercedes Mary Vance, 83, passed away on March 7, 2016, at De Kalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in De Kalb, Ill. She was born on Feb. 2, 1933, in Chicago, Ill.
Mercedes is survived by her children, Mitchell, Donna (Gary), Eileen, Lynda, James and Mercedes (Randy); 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Mercedes was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel J. and Mary M. O’Leary; husband, James L. Vance; daughter, Barbara Vance-Seger; son, Kevin Blayney (Susan); and five siblings.
A mass to celebrate Mercedes’ life was held on Monday, March 14, 2016, at Calvary Episcopal Church, 105 W. Maple St., Lombard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Calvary Episcopal Church’s Love Fund.
