Marion A. Benson

Marion A. Benson, nee Erland, age 79, of Lombard, died March 5 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mrs. Benson will be lying in state from 10 a.m. today, March 9, until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard.
Mrs. Benson is survived by her husband, John; her children, Jill “Julie” Barker of Ohio, Michelle (Chris) Levell of Windham, N.H., and Jennifer (Sal) Paletta of Yorkville, Ill.; her grandchildren, Josh Levell of N.H., Zachary Levell of N.H., Margaret Levell of N.H. and Allison Paletta of Yorkville; her sister, Patricia Robbins of Chicago; her brother-in-law, Warren Cassier of Wheaton; her sister-in-law, Kathleen Erland of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Earl Erland Jr., Naomi Cassier and Robert Erland.
Mrs. Benson grew up in Northlake and was a resident of Lombard since 1977. She was a retired Pediatric Registered Nurse and had worked at Dr. Janice Herz’ and Dr. Isadore Meyers’ joint practice. She also worked at Gottlieb Hospital and Salt Creek Medical for Dr. Craig Anderson, Dr. Judy Sherman and Dr. Gina Drugas. She was a graduate of Mt. Sinai Nursing School in N.Y., West Leyden High School, and was valedictorian of Apostles Lutheran Grade School in Northlake.
She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lombard and was a volunteer in the Kindergarten reading program at St. John’s and attended Bible class there. She was an avid gardener; loved dogs; and enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles and cook books. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Amelia J. Burns

Amelia J. Burns, age 70, of Lombard, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park, Ill. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Anthony Keith DeRose

Anthony “Tony” Keith DeRose, age 58, of Lombard and Hanover Park, died Tuesday, March 1.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, March 12, from 1-6 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Lester Haywood Keepper Jr.

Lester Haywood Keepper Jr., age 85, of Oak Brook, formerly of Lombard, passed away Thursday, March 3, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 7, at First United Methodist Church of Lombard. Interment was at Lake Forest Cemetery.

Charles Dwane Noble

Charles Dwane Noble, age 72, a resident of Lombard for 41 years, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
