Daniel Aderholt

Daniel Aderholt, age 61, of Lombard, died May 4 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service was Saturday, May 7, at the Maple Street Chapel, Lombard. Daniel is laid to rest at Elmlawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Dalton); his sons, Jason, Jeremy (Amanda), Josh (Stephanie) and Jim Mele; his grandchildren, Makayla, Maddie, Shaun and Nina; his sister, Linda Dianne (Vince) Hernandez; and his nieces and nephews, Heather, Marty, Paula, Michelle, David, Ashley, Jonathan and Aaron.

John J. Gricki Jr, age 71, of Lombard, passed away on Saturday, May 21, at Elmhurst Hospital.

Esther Jones, nee Knapp, age 84, of Winfield, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died May 20 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Ill.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, from 4-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S.Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, with Mrs. Jones lying in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Lombard Bible Church, 111 S. Park Ave., Lombard. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Nancy A. Ofenloch, nee Mazurek, age 61, formerly of Bensenville, died Sunday, May 22, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Ill.

William E. Thieme

William E. Thieme, age 86, of Villa Park, Ill., passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. Army veteran serving in Korea.
Beloved husband of Nola, nee Nix for 62 years. Loving father of Michael, James (Mary-Jo), Norine (William) Urban, David (Tammy), Joseph (Cheryl), William (Chris) and Ann (John) LaBarge; dearest grandpa of 26; great-papa of 15; dear brother of the late Walter, Lorraine and Jean Maida; and fond uncle and great-uncle of many.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park, Ill. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
A lifelong member of IBEW Local #134. Active member of St. Alexander Church.

Robert Qualkenbush

Robert A. Qualkenbush, age 87, of Lombard, passed away May 16 at Central DuPage Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, from 2-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Qualkenbush is survived by his son, Stephen (Cheryl) of Illinois; his daughter, Beverly (Charles) Wilson of Washington; his seven grandchildren, Robert V. (Roberta) Stahelin of Indiana, Adam (Melissa) Qualkenbush of Texas, Annette Stahelin of Montana, Alan Qualkenbush of Illinois, Charles Wilson of Washington, Darrell Wilson of Washington and Scott Golueke of California; seven great-grandchildren, Mabel Stahelin, Janice Stahelin, Evelyn Stahelin and Addison Qualkenbush, Ashley Henrikson, Amanda Lombardo and Jake Loveless; his sister, Irene Combs of California; and sister-in-law, Dorothy (George) Bauer.
Mr. Qualkenbush was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marcella, nee Liszewski; his daughter, Roberta (Jack) Stahelin; his parents, William Aaron and Sarah Ellen, nee Dorsett; his brother, William (Jeanne); his brother-in-law, Richard (Janet) Liszewski; and brother-in-law, Nicholas (Bonnie) Liszewski.
Mr. Qualkenbush was a resident of Lombard for 54 years. He was the owner of Speedy Towing for over 35 years and worked very closely with the area police departments. Mr. Qualkenbush loved to fish, attend Christ the King Church and had a passion for gardening.

Wendell D. Wessler

Wendell D. Wessler, age 89, of Lombard, died May 21 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, Ill.
Beloved husband of Kathleen V., nee Cairns. Loving father of Lisa F. Knapp of Lombard. Grandfather of Logan J. Knapp of Rockford. Dearest brother of Max (Ardith) Wessler of Peoria and Rob of Holmen, Wis. Uncle and great-uncle of many.
Lying in state Thursday, 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard.
Visitation is today, May 25, 3-7 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.

Mr. Wessler was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a resident of Lombard and member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church since 1995. He was on the Dart Team at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Mr. Wessler was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Mr. Wessler enjoyed wood carving. He enjoyed the Lombard Senior Center and visiting and talking to people. Mr. Wessler liked to grow tomatoes and gardening. He adored his grandson, Logan.
