John William Scudder

 

John William Scudder, 84, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2016, at Atria Park Assisted Living in Glen Ellyn.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley. He is survived by four children, Steven (Geri) Scudder, Lori (Al) Gaesser, Glenn (Trish) Scudder, Karen (Phil) Whalen. Doting grandfather to Kyle, Tyler, James, Eddie, Jenna  and Joseph.

He was a joy to anyone who was blessed to know him and will be missed immensely.

Memorial service, November 19, at 10 a.m. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 350 E. Madison St., Lombard.

 

Roberta S. Santchi

 

Roberta S. Santchi, nee Ciochon, age 79, of Lombard, passed away Nov. 5, 2016, at Oakbrook Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Roberta is survived by her husband, David E.; her children, Steve of Arizona, Sue (Salvatore) Gruttadauro of Oak Brook and Mike of Lombard; her grandchildren, Lisa, Julie and Jill Gruttadauro of Oak Brook; and her brother, Stanley (Judy) Ciochon of Wisconsin. Roberta was preceded in death by three siblings, Guy, Linda and Alan.

Roberta grew up in Chicago. She moved to Lombard and graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and York High School. Roberta was a nurse’s aide for School District 45 for 30 years until her retirement in 2001. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church.

John Susin, age 85, of Lombard, proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church. Interment was private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
