Betty Jane Bussema

 

Betty Jane Bussema, aged 87, of Paradise Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2016, surrounded by family after a brief struggle with cancer. 

Born in Chicago, Ill., she married Carl Bussema and raised their family in Lombard, Ill. In 1979 she and Carl moved to Paradise Valley, Ariz. She was predeceased by Carl in 2001. 

Betty was kind and caring, generous and fun to be with. More than anything Betty loved her children and their children. She is survived by children Carol O’Connell (Denny), Chris Groth (Dave), Cary Bussema (Helga), Donna Storer (Bob) and Amy Bussema; grandchildren Jenny (Paddy), Michael (Melissa), Bill, Jim (Jenny), Molly, Harry, Charlotte and Lilly; five great-grandchildren; and niece Kimberly Bunner. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, 1 p.m., at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church. Interment at PVUMC Columbarium to follow.

James Clarke, 83, of Villa Park, Ill., passed away on Monday, Aug. 22.

A Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Aug 25, at St. Pius X Church in Lombard, Ill. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

George E. McNulty, age 86, of Lombard, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27.

Dayle I. Miller

 

Dayle I. Miller, nee Wickman, age 68, of Lombard, passed away Aug. 27 at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Visitation will be held today, Sept. 1, from 4-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral services will be held Friday with Mrs. Miller lying in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her loving husband, Rex F.; her children, Steven and Susan of Aurora; her grandchildren, Ashley Miller of Aurora, Taylor (Lucas Johnson) Miller of Aurora and Jakob Miller of Aurora; her brothers, Larry (Debra Ann) of Belvidere and Ron (Kathy) of Lombard; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her brother, William.

Mrs. Miller was a resident of Lombard for 35 years. She graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1966 and attended College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Mrs. Miller worked for Royal Coach in Addison for over 30 years. She enjoyed shopping and loved cats and dogs.
