Rollin N. Bubert

 

Rollin N. Bubert, age 95, of Lombard, passed away Jan. 12, 2017.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, from 2-7 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral Services will be held Monday, Jan. 23, with Mr. Bubert lying in state from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 155 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.

Mr. Bubert is survived by his beloved wife, Neomia Jean, nee Sengelaub; his loving children, Maureen (Larry) Ernst of Montana, John (Jill) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mary Beth Bubert of New Jersey and Tom (Teri) of Wheaton; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Emily) Ernst of Washington State, Nathan Rollin Ernst of Elmhurst, Patrick John (Andrea) Bubert of Tulsa and Andrew Thomas Bubert of Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Sydney Ernst and Aubrey J. Ernst; and nephews, Gary (Mary Beth) Fry of Michigan and Dr. James M.D. (Jan) Fry of Arizona. Many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Bubert was preceded in death by his sister, Miriam Fry.

Mr. Bubert was a WWII Army veteran who participated in the Philippines campaign. After the war, he was a USAR officer until 1951. He graduated from North Central College in 1948, and went on to receive his MBA from the University of Michigan in 1949. Mr. Bubert was married in 1946 and moved, with his wife, Neomia, to Lombard in 1951. He retired from ComEd in 1987, after 38 years of service. He attended Bible class and was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lombard.  Mr. Bubert was a member of Edison VFW and a member of the ComEd retirees.

Jenna Lynn King

 

Jenna Lynn King, age 26, of Lombard, passed away suddenly on Jan. 10. Daughter of Philip and Julie King, nee Lother; loving sister of Anna; devoted granddaughter of Frances and the late Victor Lother, the late George and the late Marilyn King, and of Mary King; dear niece of many aunts and uncles; much loved cousin of many.

Graduate of Glenbard East High School, Indiana Wesleyan and Aurora University; active member of Lombard Bible Church, dedicated to her work with children in foster care and adoption.
Visitation Friday, Jan. 20, 3-9 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, IL 60148. Memorial Service to be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lombard Bible Church (111 S. Park Ave., Lombard). Interment at Bronswood Cemetery.

Diane C. Malone

 

Diane C. Malone, formerly of Lombard and Addison, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7.

A memorial service was held Friday, Jan 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 545 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.

Joseph Menze

 

Joseph Menze, age 67, of Schaumburg, died suddenly Jan. 13 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Menze is survived by his brother, John M. (Sandi) of Glendale Heights; his niece, Vanessa L. (Bryan) Bourland of Michigan; his nephew, Justin M. Menze of Chicago; and his close friend and neighbor Barb Erskine.

Mr. Menze grew up on Grace Street in Lombard. He was a 1967 graduate of Willowbrook High School where he was a wrestler. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. He was the owner of Power Washing Company. He loved his dog CoCo.

Herbert Pfisterer

 

Herbert Pfisterer, age 83, of Lombard, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 17, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. John the Apostle. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mary T. Prust, nee Kula 96, of Lombard. Formerly of Elmhurst.

Beloved wife of the late Willard; loving mother of Donna Faur, Nancy (Michael) Hogan, William and the late Richard Prust; loving grandmother of Sheri, John, Renee, Michele, Brian, Kate and Joseph; great-grandmother of Shauna, Alyssa, Michael, Kelley, Jessica, Dani, Nicole, Tyler, Haley, Madden, Liam, Emily, Logan and Madeline; great-great-grandmother of Jack, Bella and Bode. Cherished daughter of the late Frank and Amelia Kula nee Kosiski; preceded in death by her siblings Stanley, Florian, John, Fr. Joseph, Robert Kula and Dorothy Hrupek; aunt and great- aunt of many. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 14, at St. Pius X Church, 1025 E. Madison, Lombard. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
