Joseph J. Bartuch, 62, of Lombard, passed away March 4, 2017. Beloved husband of Helen “Sue” Bartuch; loving father of Krista (John) Cozzi and Bradley Jones; dear grandfather of Cooper, Celilia, Charlotte, Sophia and Dominic; fond brother of Fred (Jill) Bartuch, Anne (Steve) Racine and Brian (Kim) Bartuch; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a friend to many and served his community as former Police and Fire Commissioner as well as a business owner of Lincoln Photo in Lombard. 

Funeral Mass was held Thursday, March 9, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard, IL 60148. Services concluded at the church.

George H. Lange

 

George H. Lange, age 91, of Lombard, passed away March 11, 2017.

Funeral Service will be today, March 16, at 10 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will be private.

Mr. Lange is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his loving children, Nancy M. (John Vacval) Lee of Lombard, Ellen (Michael) Abbinanti of Itasca and Lisa (Jeffrey) King of Campton Hills; his dear grandchildren, Brandon (Esperanza) Lee of Lombard and Henry King; his great-grandchildren, Esabella and Elena; and fond uncle of Robin Lange and Heather Lange. Mr. Lange was preceded in death by his brother, John.

Mr. Lange was a resident of Lombard since 1949. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in World War II. Mr. Lange was a longtime member of the Carpenters Union in which he received his 70th year pin. Mr. Lange was a member of the Baha’i’ Faith in Lombard. He enjoyed playing the flute and the piano, and played in the Oak Park Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Lange was a gifted artist and longtime member of the Art Institute and a former member of the DuPage Art League. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation are appreciated.

Frank C. Lavere

 

Frank C. LaVere, age 73, of Lombard, was born on November 27, 1943, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Elaine and Frank LaVere. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 6, 2017.

Frank was a longtime real estate broker. He was also very involved with the Lombard Jaycees and in 1972 he chaired the Lombard Lilac Festival.

Frank is the beloved husband of 50 years to Bette Lynn. Loving father of Frank C. LaVere and the late Christine (John) Pawley. Proud grandfather of Anthony, Angela and Savonna. Dear brother of Patricia (Tom) Piehl. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, March 11, at DuPage Memorial Chapel, 951 W. Washington St., West Chicago.

Loving wife of Greg Lesnik; beloved mom of Stephanie (Victor) Foerstel, Dana Lesnik and Hayley Lesnik; dear daughter of the late Howard and the late Francis DeRolf; devoted grandma of Ava Foerstel; dear sister of Bob, Bev, Bud and the late Bill Eveland; aunt of many nieces and nephews; friend, relative and inspiration to many.

John "Richard" Myers

 

John “Richard” Myers, age 88, of Lombard, died peacefully on March 6, 2017, surrounded by family.    Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. March 18, at Community Presbyterian Church in Lombard followed by a Memorial Service.

Richard was a high school English teacher (retired from Addison Trail in 1988) who had a passion for literature and teaching high school students to enjoy reading and writing. He also had a strong love of music and was an accomplished pianist and church organist at York Center Church of the Brethren and Community Presbyterian.
