Michael Lawson

 

Michael Lawson, of Lombard, age 17. Loving son of Lisa Miller Lawson and the late Andrew Lawson; cherished brother of Tyler Miller and Marie Lawson; devoted grandson of Lawrence and the late Margaret Miller; loving nephew of Sara Kane, Rick Miller, Larry (Liz) Miller and Belinda Kirby; dear cousin of Lauren (Kendrick) Smith, Nick Miller, Sean (Colleen Harrigan) Kane, Brian Kane, Megan Kane, Jaxson Kane, Brennan Smith, Carter Thompson, Quint Wheeler, Julie Wheeler, Hailey Kornfeind, Rachael (Dave) Slimp and Fiona Slimp.

Michael enjoyed his car, his basketball games, working out and developing software.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 29, from Knollcrest Funeral Home to Mass at Christ the King Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Leonard Eugene Roberts

 

Leonard Eugene Roberts, 87, of Iowa City, Iowa, formerly of Lombard, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Sharon Center United Methodist Church in Sharon Center, Iowa. Burial will follow at Sharon Center United Methodist Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.

 

Rose M. Schlottman

 

Rose M. Schlottman, 93, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, at her daughter’s home.

She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Chicago to Harry and Frieda (Doldt) McGale.

On March 25, 1943, she married Donald E. Schlottman in Villa Park. He died Dec. 26, 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hoffman, Goshen, Indiana; three sons, Fred (Li-Juan) Schlottman, Fisher, Indiana, Dwight (Susan) Schlottman, Rome, Wisconsin, and Craig (Linda Joy) Schlottman, Marion, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Norman McGale; four sisters, twin Clara Hendricks, Harriet Johnson, Joyce McGale and Lorraine Gleason; and a son-in-law, John Hoffman.

Mrs. Schlottman worked in production for BorgWarner Corporation. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and collecting porcelain dolls.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
