Marion Meinke, age 91, of Lombard, formerly of Riverside. Beloved wife of the late Richard Meinke; loving mother of Linda (William) McCann and Diane Meinke (Thomas Kunkler); devoted grandmother of Paul (Deborah) Smith, Tara (Daniel) Benton, Lee (Megan) Smith, Brian McCann, and Kyle Kunkler; great-grandmother of Nicholas, Lyla, Kailey, Camille, Logan, Elise and Cameron. Member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 15, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lachelle M. Mitchell-Schuch

 

Lachelle M. Mitchell-Schuch, 53, of Lombard, formerly Aledo, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Marston Antioch Baptist Church, 1516 170th Ave., Reynolds, IL 61279. Private family burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Millersburg.

Lachelle was born Jan. 29, 1964, in Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, daughter of Wanda Anderson Mitchell and Jerry Mitchell. She graduated from Aledo High School in 1982. She served several years in Air National Guard, stationed in Chicago but active duty in Saudi Arabia and was a decorated soldier. As part of her deployments, Lachelle served as part of her Airwing Refueling Unit for both Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

She married Thomas Schuch Sept. 29, 2011, in Wheaton. They made their home in Lombard.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Schuch of Lombard; parents, Wanda and Jerry Mitchell of Marshfield, Missouri; aunts, uncles and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Martin and Marie Anderson, John and Maxine Mitchell;

and one aunt, Janice Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Hope for Wounded Warriors in Farmington, Missouri, or Millersburg (Oak Ridge) Cemetery.
